Well this is a business. It's not really a free game - someone has to buy stuff or the serves go down. That is why every company making money comes out with something just a bit better then before - to make people want to buy it. It's just a delicate balance - make it not so good as to totally TRIBBLE every prior customer…
But isn't this what all for profit companies do? Release new things that are better than the item before? Put less stuff in the package and raise the price? come out with a slightly faster processor? etc etc etc - you think Nvidia's new 20xx cards coming in a few weeks are not going to be 30% or more faster than what they…
But my analogy is still kind of correct - even if they came out with a T7 or a T6u -( lets face it the MW with a extra universal slot and more hull is kind of a t6u in an ugly disguise), it's the same as the phone - you can do virtually everything just fine with a iPhone 7 vs an iphone 8. Same with the ships - there is no…
look - what is wrong with coming out with a newer version of a ship that is slightly more powerful every year or two? I mean Apple and Samsung do it regularly with a $1000 phone - and there are line-ups of people throwing money at them for 2% better performance in app loading time!
Well as far as what they do with the new ships - it is probably a given that they will come more powerful than existing ones. Some special power/seating/console etc Idon't think they will be as game changing as when they did LOR, but you never know. They could even come with battle cloak!! Jem Hadar took lots of rommie…
Look they CAN put in a T6U or T7 and they don't have to go back on their word. They introduced the Miracle worker ships with a "Special Feature" of a extra console slot - universal - and some extra hull I think. So essentially it meets the established "definition" of a higher tier with the extra slot. All those lovely new…
True a better example would be the almost yearly upgrade in Apple iphone or Samsung Galaxy - it gets a tiny bit better and everyone feels they need to upgrade. There are lineups - not pickforks
I don't get all the fuss about adding an upgrade or a new tier of ships, if the old tier will do everything in the game. Can you imagine how silly this conversation would be on the Honda, GM, Toyota, etc forums "Can you believe those ***** at Honda just announce a new car that will have X!!! I will never buy a Honda…
Frankly it does not matter what they say - it matters what they can SELL. Call the next level of ships a "special ability/slot" whatever you want - most times the addition of a console slot like the miracle worker ships got = a raise in Tier - if it looks like a duck. It's probably a duck.
AND there NEVER EVER - never never never will be an end game connie!! NEVER!! That's what they said. I am sorry but for the first time in years my credit card is waiting!! (paid extra for)Victory is Life!!
They never said we will not get a ship upgrade. The new Dominion ships will probably come with an extra console slot like the Miracle worker. Maybe whole bundles of ships with this extra slot. Don't you think if this happens others eventually will want to upgrade their ships to this new tier? So sell all the new shinnies -…
Just watch all the new Dominion ships will come with a universal slot like the miracle worker - I call that T6u -everyone will either buy the new ships for the power or they can then sell upgrades to your favorite ship === $$$$$$$$$ - you can call them T whatever - they will probably get the extra slot.
Did they confirm that there will be no T6-U? That is only one upgrade token. It could be easy to implement. Some more hull and a universal slot. Just like the miracle worker ships. They could sell lots of upgrade tokens.
Well at bare minimum they should allow us to get invites to each others starbase. If the 2 can exist in social zones together, then why not starbases? If the 2 can be in a grouped Q together, then why not stabases. There should be little code work that is preventing that.
People still PvP in this game? Has no one realized that Cryptic PvP revamp was designed to fail? It was just put in so they could say "See we tried to improved Pvp, but no one cared!" So now they can leave it as abandonware - time to roll out the power creep - got to get it back to preS13 levels through the gamble system -…
Well pins and crickets. It's the same thing. I set a 1 hour a week limit for myself a little after the 4000 hrs in game was reached. Nowadays 30 min is all I can muster. I don't even think the winter event will draw me out unless the ship is super super OP with the extra console slot from the new muscle ships.
Canon soucres are mixed on torps bypassing shields. If the plot demanded, they went through shield to the hull. And I am not talking generations movie. Plenty of shots that were absorbed by shields and plenty where most damage went right through. Of course that usually happens when they want to kill someone with the…

How about a rule that if the winner does not respond to email within 5? days then their prize will be re-rolled? 5 days is enough to cover…
years ago when I had more time to waste I would spend 12hrs a day. I started right at F2P. Those were active years. Fleets were busy and the game was busy. Well I guess my experience is like many. I log on for maybe 1 hour per week now and just do a few things. It can hold interest for only a few minutes. I have logged a…
I am actually trying to figure out the game code and create a script to force players to dance to my disco ball spam again!! That is 11 minutes per day well used.
I think they could do a delta quadrant like expansion into the Gamma Quadrant. They could come out with multiple characters that you could play - Jem Hadar, Vorta, cardassian, i suppose a founder, but the last one I doubt. shape shifting being too difficult. The area was not flushed out well in the series. There are plenty…
Well the OP is only half in Jest - I mean - if you are going to do the "Full Monty" - which I expect Cryptic to do - you go the full Monty or go home. I would actually pay real dollars on this game again to buy MOOR power. Why not? it's not like we need any balance for pvp in this game anymore - that is a dead horse - just…
Doffs on the exchange are sorted by rarity. Common to very rare with a few ultra rare and such. Anything above rare or blue level and you will be paying a lot of ec. Doffs slotted to your active roster become bound and cannot be traded again. But each diff can boost skills and effects of powers in space and ground. Boffs…
