I tried out a mix of dbbs and heavies! Lo and behold, it works pretty well. Chaff ships get completely crushed, and it steadily chews through hard targets. I like.

Very keen build. I am enjoying a similar loadout, but with standard arrays. I will try out a cannon dbb mix, too!

I'm very much enjoying Surgical Strikes on my phantom. I keep two copies of Fire at Will so that I can keep up on large packs, but when I want something right and proper dead I'll sit next to it and laugh at the crit spam until it explodes. Surgical is great for downing a shield facing really quick, too, which in turn…

Yeah, my turn rate on tribble was about 27 degrees per second separated. I'm quite happy with it. It may be a hideous snub nosed monstrosity, but it is my favourite hideous snub nosed monstrosity. <3

I use a very similar boff layout on mine, and it works well! I went with Dual Beam Banks in the front and loaded my Engineering slots with fleet turn rate/resist consoles, though. Its neat to see the beams fire out of the saucer cannons.
