  • You know, putting aside the disappointment of Voyager, the and any jokes about Janeway, I'll answer that question honestly: Yes, BUT with one caveat: She, and really the whole main cast of the show, were often times the subjects of poor writing. So instead of showing strengths, and yes, even flaws, to add depth to not just…
  • Well, she never did eat Harry, so who knows.
  • "Citizens of the galaxy, as you lay prostrate before me..." ;)
  • If this was the past, I'd make an argument for why that shouldn't be, but honestly, anymore...I really don't care. Truthfully I see the game having larger issues, 'bigger fish to fry' as it were, than whether or not certain Fed ships can or cannot cloak. I ask what I ask as I simply wonder why some still so want cloaks on…
  • Lemme correct you on something. You're right in regards to Rom ships all having battle cloaks. But last I checked, for the most part, with only a couple exceptions, the only KDF ships that have BC are BoPs. A couple other ships besides those have it, true, but far from all. Really, for the most part, KDF either deal with…
  • There's only one thing they need to do for mines before they do anything else: Reduce the huge shared cooldowns ALL mines share with ALL other mines to 1 second. More than any other factor at the moment, the long shared CDs between mines kills any kind of synergy or pressure you can get out of em. If they do that first,…
  • I am not sure if Laas is returned to the GQ or not. However he is found not there, but in the AQ and he is removed from 'The New Link', at which point you fight and capture him. Yes that's true, I believe in that same conversation, the Female Changeling does make mention of them once being solids. I'd need to watch The…
  • There is only one way for those boosts to come into the game: C-store R&D packs. So my recommendation if you really want some, wait until the next R&D weekend, when people will be buying those constantly, and either open some yourself, or just buy the boosts since they will begin flooding into the exchange a lot more.
  • Well, last I checked, I'd beaten Laas (in an overly long, three-stage fight) and given him the ultimate punishment: Using him in a DOFF mission. The Founders were once 'solids' as the Female Changling made mention of in one episode. At some point in their past, that changed.
  • On that, don't you need to actually be in the event (Winter Event in this case) to get the quick mission and even rep project TO unlock the stores?
  • Actually it would make sense. Putting aside any issues with Final Frontier for the moment, Nimbus III was the 'Planet of Galactic Peace', a thing that the UFP, Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire agreed to have it be a place of neutrality and peace, including cooperation and terraforming the place. Now of course we know…
  • Yeah, never gotten why so many people treat that single line as such a 'fact'. I don't think it's a case of the franchise not supporting Klingons in the UFP. I think it's more that FANS couldn't handle Klingons being in the UFP.
  • Amen on that. I've been in this game awhile, and I've seen time and time again, anything that players find, they will almost always try and keep to themselves as long as possible to try and avoid it being brought to the attention of the devs.
  • Last I checked as well folks, we do still have base crit chance. And honestly hitting 20% on that isn't difficult. Even if someone feels like saying 'but 20% IS hard for most players', very well, 10% crit, and if that is 'too hard' then 5%, and before that, ALL players always have 2.5% base without adding in anything else.…
  • I really doubt it. Even at 1/100, probability states that sure to sheer volume, there would be a lot more of those popping up due to the number of lockboxes that would be opened. I honestly don't think we'd see any of the stuff suggested. Not purchasable ones, not lockbox ones, not respecs, nothing. As specs are fully…
  • Eh, they shouldn't do anything. People have been flying Galors for years now. If they get so fussy that others can fly it just because a Cardie faction is released, then that's their problem. Besides, if the original bit of flavor text for the Galors is true, these are 40 year-old Galors that Damar 'hid' back when he…
  • Ha hah...no. I've not done any mission replays personally on a Delta Recruit. I've leveled them, sure. But redone missions? No thanks. However, to play devil's advocate for a moment... Could it be that instead of few players doing it (as we don't have all the knowledge here on the forums after all), it could be that the…
  • Actually that doesn't take up a 'slot', so you can just run it without worry. I do that all the time.
  • No, there isn't a fleet version. Same for other KDF ships they've never given upgraded and/or fleet versions. So, I dunno if you can upgrade it or not (haven't upgraded mine since I only use it rarely and have other ships for other characters), but there is for sure no fleet version.
  • I am both worried and intrigued.
  • Well, the Hilbert Guide has been a PvP-staple for ages. In particular the spacebar bind. Hell, it was required reading for ALL people who went into PvP Bootcamp while that was going on. So, I can kind of understand people might be...miffed, if someone comes into this area of the forum and starts to dismiss it, that would…
  • You are right. Some mobs DO heal a bit. Some mobs CAN hit hard. Some mobs will do things like SNB you. But all these mobs still have one thing in common: They mindlessly spam those abilities. There's no 'scripting', no 'AI' to them. They use EVERYTHING they can over and over, including all of it at the start of their…
  • Nah, don't worry about it Warmaker. Most players are VERY vain. They have to be in a ship that looks good, while their character looks equally good. The 'ugliness' of Klingon and other Klingon-servitor race ships would keep a lot of people out of em. And besides, I REALLY doubt most would ever bring themselves to fly in a…
  • I'm against it, but it does amaze me how Daniels' throwaway line in that episode has made so many in this forum over the years be like 'It has to happen NAO!!1!' Just because Daniels said the Klingons join the Federation does not mean they are simply going to join within STO's timeframe. He said that they joined 'by the…
  • I'd love to know as well. Earlier in the thread my math was about if you gained a spec point every week only with DOFFing. Which is about how fast I earn them. And again, at that rate of speed you'd take seven and a half months to fill one primary spec from empty to full.
  • In some ways, Ryan is correct. The Hilbert Guide isn't good for someone who knows much more about the game. But it isn't meant to be. It's meant to be a starting point, a 101 class, a first foot in the water, that kind of thing. Once you've gotten going, in PvP or high DPS, you can develop further into other ways. Besides,…
  • I've always generally preferred a setup of: Chroniton Mines 1, Shield Recharge 2, Quick Fix 3, Equipment Diagnostics 2 The mines to cover anything that might decide to run up close and try and attack, the Shield Recharge to help with healing. Quick Fix and ED are purely for the buffs AND you can get your BOFFs to use them…
  • Actually that's a good idea. I agree that merely 'numbers' isn't enough to justify more rewards, but specific stuff would be a good reason to do so. I would say maybe a 1% increase if you need something semi-specific, or 2% if you need something very specific. Might not sound like much, but it can add up if factored in…
  • I'm not against that. I am just worried that 'logic to DOFFing rewards = screwed over players'. Ok, well, here's a big concern then for you Trendy: How do we know anything we say will make the slightest iota of difference? Seriously, 99.9% of the time, anything spoken here, good or bad, useful or not, is ignored. But…
  • How about, "I like you, I'll kill you last." Which I could see working in one of two ways: 1. X% damage there is only one enemy in Y meters. Or in other words, if there's only one enemy a certain distance from you, you get a damage bonus. I could also see it working by reducing the bonus per enemy around. Say it was 25%…
