Switching off lighting 2 seems to have done the trick for me too. I just returned after four years away and have a much more powerful machine this time so I was quite disappointed to have this happening. No other game has such issues on my system.

Greetings, I've thought of another one. Could you please standardize the transwarp effect? For most we have the slow build up and then warping out. For others we have an instant blink or the countdown (my favourite). Cheers.

Ugh, why wasn't this kicked off at the same time as the ship discount? Purposefully I suppose. I only bought my 5300 Zen two days ago specifically for a ship. I feel I've been ripped off now. :(

Follow the steps in the stickied post in the computer issues forum, collecting the data it lists and contacting your ISP. I too had the issues you describe until I did that and not a one since. Good luck.

The difference isn't really relevant. We ARE forced to see our characters do something we didn't order.
