I was recently told by a Specialist Game Master (CSR) that Federation-allied Romulans could fly Federation ships. Can I take this to mean that my Federation aligned Romulan should be able to fly a Scryer Intel ship then?
How could it not? You put STAR TREK and FREE together and you think people won't come? Another point to consider, what does "BIGGER" mean exactly? :o
So... may I take from this (Q's Winter Wonderland) that Cryptic has taken in some of the Paragon Studios employees and to prove themselves the new/old employees ported (with some modifications, no doubt) the old CoH/V Winter Events from that (Inter-dimensional) Pocket D?
The current goal of STO is to expose as many players as possible to as many C-Store items and Lockboxes as possible. Cryptic will do anything they can to achieve that. That's why the game changed the way it did.
That's a very individual decision. You can always simply quit the game. Hence it's truly free to play (except ISP charges), although not everything in the game will come without having to invest either time or money to obtain. The notion of competing with others, it's all in a persons' mind, you can succumb to it (invest…
This is exactly the problem. You don't see the point in insulting people while some people live to insult people. I doubt Cryptic would do anything against them, but if any reviews insults you on a personal level I think that is something you can and should report.
The Foundry does not support, at this time, toggle-triggers. In essence each component has two allowed state-changes, once when they become visible and the next -- and last -- when they become invisible. This means that your ability as an author to create toggles is limited by how many objects you're willing to sacrifice…
I think I tried those at first and even in a crisscrossed pattern there were times when my character simply stood locked between two walls unable to move. :o
I wouldn't mind a filter like that. In which case I could ignore the top-rated and focus on the most-played, fine by me. I do not subscribe to the idea that the top 10 list holds really good missions. However, since we're talking about popularity contests anyway, I would always feel better if the winners had votes that…
The 5-star system wasn't chosen to guarantee quality content but rather moving content. To me, that's unsatisfactory therefore I'll never support a 5-star system for UGC. The TOP-10 list should not show new missions, period. That's the job of a category called EXCITING AND NEW which should be placed above the TOP-10…
That's why my idea isn't just a thumbs up/down but rather a process that takes into account repeat-plays by the same player, mission quit/complete ratio and other values. I just wish to focus the input players have in driving missions to the top of the list in comparison to how the 5-star system allows it to happen. Drogyn…
It's probably too much work for results that seem inconsequential to Cryptic/PWE, but whenever asked about this issue, my opinion ? regarding the 5-star system ? will never change.
Something like that, yes, but where replays from the same player would give more weight to that players' thumbs-up vote to reflect that players enjoy replaying the mission. This still leaves the problem of farm/grind-missions and balancing reward per time investment but at least a system like this is much less vulnerable…
Personally I'm for a binary system instead of a star-rating system, however I support syberghost's suggestion for a blank rating unless deliberately modified by the player.
Boff slots and respec tokens are supposed to reward a player's investment both in their character(s) and Cryptic and so these rewards are given to paying subscribers (Gold Players) as they level up their characters. If Cryptic were to retroactively grant them to each Lv50 character a Silver player has when the player…
I think it's official that they're ignoring feedback because as far as I can remember members of the Foundry community have been asking for cooperative authoring tools (i.e. the most basic export&import) and we've yet to see the issue being officially acknowledged let alone worked on! I guess Cryptic is waiting for the…
