It could simply be that fans of Discovery didn’t want to add to the heartbreak of losing their show with a bunch of responses like “good” and “finally”. I’m a fan of the show and I too think the show made the best decision going to the 32nd century.

Star Trek has never been hard science so I tend to give it some leeway. Couldn't Hobus and the Romulan Star be the same thing? I don't think the blast reaches halfway across the RSE territory. What in Picard contradicts anything in STO? There are only two minor things. Data taking over B4 and Icheb and Icheb was removed from the game after Picard killed him off. Nothing that is earthshaking or gamebreaking.

My thinking is if the Odyssey was destroyed before they left then Voyager crew should know about it. One of their Galaxy’s gets taken out. Every ship in the fleet should know that. Every ship in the region should have been on an alert status.
