I will agree that something needs to be done to bring EC prices for items back under control. Pretty much everything hinges on the value of master keys, which have gone from 2mil each to over 4mil each in a very short time. High demand vs low supply I suppose... not as many people putting real cash into the game anymore,…
As I've said for a long time now... it's more about the build and the player, less about the actual gear. For the most part all my toons are still running the same MK XII fleet quality equipment they were running before Delta came out. I've added a few 360 beams and some of the new consoles, but even most of those are MK…
Shuttles do indeed need an upgrade. They've been completely abandoned and are, for the most part, utterly useless. Need more console slots and more BoFF abilities.
The next box will indeed be Mirror Universe. That's where we'll get the Mirror Leeta outfit and a chance at the Temporal Dreadnought. As far as what the other featured ships will be... I'd like to see a Mirror Galaxy Dread just to get that skin for my Yamato, and I'd like to see a return of the older blue quality Mirror…
Honestly PvE is so easy on normal difficulty that having one or two AFK players shouldn't be an issue. I ended up in a 3-man Mirror the other night because two PUGs dropped and we still closed 30+ rifts. I agree people leeching the rewards is bad form but I don't see the difference between an AFK player and someone coming…
I like the excelsior look, and the mastery trait goes well with a radiation build, but the ship is inferior in terms of layout to the Presidio, Arbiter and Yamato. It shares the same fault that the T5 Excelsior does, a useless Ensign Engineer. If that BoFF were a Tac the ship would do much better, but then it would be…
Times change. The Regent is pretty long in the tooth by now, I imagine everyone that wanted one has one... and fine, don't make wide angle Quantums available, just put out all the other flavors.
Note his little fleet message in his signature. He's one of the biggest (and most easily recognizable) trolls in game. Don't waste your time trying to reason with him, you can't win.
When crafting first came out you could be "maxxed out" in it pretty quickly, and the stuff you could craft was quite good compared to what was available. Now it takes literally weeks to grind out level mastery in each item type and the stuff you make is, with few exceptions, easily eclipsed by gear available from the fleet…
Bottom line crafting and upgrading aren't worth my time to grind out the skill levels to make them useful. If I need some new fancy thing that's craftable I'll just grab it off the exchange, it's so ridiculously easy to get a few million EC in this game now. Aside from a few minor tweaks I'm still running the same MK XII…
Replay the mission to get the JH Tac BoFF and turn him into a TS3 manual. That's just about the only way to do it now, which is why the manual is going for 1mil+ on the exchange.
Correct. However DPS creep being what it is that's still more than sufficient to get the job done... 10k DPS is really all you need to breeze through most content, and we all know there are plenty of ways to crank the numbers far higher than that.
Politics has little to do with it. We've got a certain group of people, following the teachings of a certain religion, who think it's somehow OK to just go out and kill anyone who doesn't share their particular POV. We've got governments of developed "free" nations all around the world that don't seem particularly upset by…
As I tell all my fleet mates, it's less about the gear and more about the skill set that's behind it. I've not bothered to upgrade any of my weapons or consoles beyond Mk XII and I'm still dishing out enough hurt to obliterate the enemy on Normal and Advanced difficulty settings. Massive power creep + stupid AI enemies…
Sadly it's really hard to undo power creep, especially one that has been ongoing for 5 years. Look at Mirror Invasion for a fine example. Last time it came around the first few T6 ships had just been released, we didn't have Command or Piloting abilities unlocked yet and the Terran ships put up a good fight. Now with all…
Folks, there have to be different ship layouts in order to *gasp* SELL MORE SHIPS. There are 5/3 cruisers available for Feds and KDF... though I am sad that the Romulans don't have a battlecruiser equivalent, the Aehal would have been a nice choice as it is the right size and has the right officer layout, but it got no…
The AI has always been terrible at navigating corridors. That's because your BoFFs always try to "fan out" behind you instead of walking single file. On maps with big wide corridors (think Herald ships) it's not a problem, but in the tightly confined spaces on the Cardassian maps it is indeed a pain.
If the number of times KLW procs is reduced then DPS will, *obviously*, be reduced. It's a nerf, plain and simple. I do find the whole thing highly suspicious... if it was really a big problem the ability would have been fixed a LONG time ago, not two lockboxes later. I have a feeling that this change is the complete…
People griping about the cost of KLW need to put up or shut up. If you can't afford it too bad, so sad. Yes it is powerful, and even after the nerf it will be among the most powerful tactical BoFF abilities out there. I don't see anyone crying that tier 6 lockbox ships are 150mil on the exchange, or that the Herald Dread…
Biggest reason I wanted this was for the skin, which could then be applied to a Fleet Guardian. But, alas, no love from Cryptic for those of us who actually work for a living and weren't online to buy this pack the instant it was announced.
If you want to push hybrid just give everything higher innate resist to energy weapons. Energy weapons are supposed to be for taking down shields... once that barrier is gone torps are free to wreck the hull. As it is now there is so much radiation and bleed-through damage that I kill things without ever going through…
I run torps on all my ships, it's canonical and honestly can be quite useful. I've never been a fan of the all energy metagame that has been forced on us. Comboing the right abilities can get some pretty wicked torpedo hits, but you've gotta know what you are doing. The Voth rep 3-set provides a great bonus to photon crit…
This is another one of those missions where the difficulty needs to be rebalanced. Two decent players can carry a PUG team through Normal and have all rifts closed with 2-3 minutes to spare, but on Advanced the same team gets slaughtered. Need a setting between drollsville and too much work for reward.
The ability proccing multiple times is broken, however making KLW proc on only the primary target of a spread breaks the ability. All those other targets are getting hit by torpedoes too... the whole point of TS is to hit multiple targets. Are plasma torps going to be similarly nerfed so their radiation damage only applies…
And those of us who actually WORK for a living are just SOL on a T6 mirror ship. Thanks a lot. These T6 packs should be available to EVERYONE who wants to buy one.
