attemting to connect to controller tracker

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
launcher is stuck at logging in... it just says attemting to connect to controller tracker and doesn't go beyond that point.

    Same here. No one in my fleet can connect atm. they were doing account server maintenance earlier so I bet they just did not finish it.

    step 1: launch 2 instances of the sto launcher
    step 2: input password into 1st instance
    step 3: laugh at the controller instance
    step 4: put in password into 2nd launcher
    step 5: laugh while game client loads normally.

    nope, not laughing at him cause it WORKED >:D

    never than the less, this is just a workaround, so they should look into this immediately, cause i am sure many are affected by this and not everyone will know / find this workaround.

    Same happened to me! This amusing fix only worked for me when launching the game directly, it did not work launching via Steam.

    Efven if launch it 3 times, it still says Attempting to connect to controller tracker.. :(

    Well, after I tried this .. and had 2 launchers stuck ....

    Closed out and reloaded ... BINGO!

    I had to launch a third instance of the Launcher to get this to work the way you are suggesting it should, but once I did, it worked perfectly. Thanks.

    I just spoke to a GM. Apparently they are aware of people having server difficulties, and now are aware of the Launcher issue as well, if they weren't already. So they are looking into it. So hopefully the situation will be resolved shortly.

    The workaround does work, but that is no guarantee that once you are INTO the game you will be capable of remaining logged INTO the game, especially if they are experiencing general server difficulties like was implied to me.

    My wife can log-in but i get stuck at this poit too...
