I like having a combination. Any ship I've seen in Star Trek has had both an energy weapon and a torpedo weapon. Even my current ship has 3 front cannons and 1 torpedo. I consider my ship to be a strict cannon raider, but having the one krenim chron torp just rounds out the package.
I was initially upset that DSC wasn't going to look more like the shows we are used to, but honestly the only thing that bothers me is the CBS all access thing. I pay for too many services as is and cannot justify paying CBS, too. No other networks make you pay to use their apps. Either put it on TV or stream it in Netflix…
That's one thing that bothered me when I finally earned the T6 Vengeance from Into Darkness. The thing is supposed to be the most powerful and terrifying ship in the quadrant but it is no more powerful nor more durable than a run of the mill cruiser.
I play on the Xbox and probably didn't notice the rebalance as much since I don't have much to base it on, but I can see where spending money on something and suddenly it isn't as boss as before would be irksome.
With firing haste and Cannon scatter volley, you can keep your cannons pretty hot, especially if you know how to pilot your ship. It's actually fun to ram full speed down an enemy's throat and let your speed and inertia power slide you around the remaining ships while keeping 4 cannons firing on the enemy. I'd much rather…
It would be nice to get more random patrol missions or if you are flying through sector space, have a random priority hail come up that takes you on a random mission to explore a new moon or launch a few probes. It seems like there is no real exploration at all in STO. It's a shame, especially for those who fly a heavily…
I used to be tactical only until I did agents of yesterday and chose science. Now I feel a have a tactical leaning science character and it hits all the right buttons on my lcars
> @nikeix said: > so far all of the heavy weapon slot weapons have been 360. I think that's your real dual heavy cannons right there. Is heavy weapon slot only for PC? I've read people talk about it but never seen it. I'm on the Xbox, though.
I'd say make dual heavies full 360 degree, double their damage output and give them a 0.5 sec fire rate. This is the 25th century, after all. I'd be disappointed if we have replicators, quantum slip stream, quantum torps, anti proton weapons and we didn't have the technology to make awesome cannons. If you don't like it,…
I had the same problem with my main character on Xbox, too. What's worse is that it won't let you drop the mission, either. I literally just stopped playing that character for months because it's annoyed me that I can't drop it or complete it.
Depending on the platform, but on the Xbox, you hold down the LB button and it gives you options for offensive, defensive and support modes. If you select one of those, it fills up that meter. But yeah... I use the Temporal Raider with the 4 piece space set, full anti proton cannons up front with krenim chrono torp that…
I usually just give up energy drinks for a week and use the savings towards spending on games. That way it's like found money and not extra being spent on a new ship. I can justify just about anything by just spending less on lunch during work towards whatever it is that I want.
If you want to be cheap, you can wait until the have the deals on discounted zen and then wait for the 20% off ships that they do from time to time and end up with your pick of a T6 for around $20 with no grinding needed.
Is it just me or does it seem impossible to actually join a Miner Instabilities que? I've only played it once because you wait forever for it to start and it seems no one else joins. The breach almost always starts instantly, though. I am level 5 in the Temporal Defense rep and its pretty awesome. It feels to me that the…
Probably for the best. I've spent way too much money on this game. Even this morning before the server update I came close to spending money on lockbox keys to get enough lobi for the NX refit.
I would love to watch Discovery, but I don't have CBS all access and refuse to be forced to get it just for Star Trek. I feel CBS is just trying to exploit Star Trek fans. Once it is out on Netflix or they broadcast reruns on actual television, I'll gladly give it a chance.
Vanguard Temporal Dawn Paradox Retribution Archangel Thor War Hammer Nova Liz Axiom Tempest Odin Solstice I have more, those are the ships I can think of or use the most. My two most used are the Vanguard (31st century temporal raider) and Retribution (Kelvin Intel dreadnought Vengeance class).

The problem I have with ground combat is that there are so many bugs where you get stuck in walls, a door that is supposed to open is stuck closed, or if you go through a section too quickly it doesn't progress through and asks you to complete a task that you already completed and you are forced to abort and retry.
When it's happens to me, my dog and cats all freak out and end up locked in a space battle of their own. That audio shudder that goes along with it when piped through 11 speakers and 1600watts is worse than a Romulan mind probe.
