Xbox One - patrol missions?

I'm flying around into planets across the Beta Quadrant and so far have only found the Honod System patrol. Are there few if any patrol missions for Xbox One users?

Its only the Defera, New Romulus area, and Delta Quadrant, patrols that can be repeated.

Which I think stinks. Let us repeat all the patrols, it's not like they give out insane amounts of XP or anything. Besides, it's the closest thing to exploration we may get.

I want to believe you, but I mean I was flying into every star system in the Beta Quadrant and found just the one patrol in Honod. I don't mean I am looking for repeats; I can't seem to find the first go around!

It would be nice to get more random patrol missions or if you are flying through sector space, have a random priority hail come up that takes you on a random mission to explore a new moon or launch a few probes. It seems like there is no real exploration at all in STO. It's a shame, especially for those who fly a heavily science/exploration type ship. What's the point of all of those labs and sensors if all you are going to do is blast a few Orions?

I would rather prefer they simply axe all the pre-LoR patrols for how bad they are.

They are launch era content, and it shows. Many of them discuss things that are no longer part of the game due to the story arc revamps.

I get where you're coming from, but I would prefer they not remove any more content than what they have. It may be old and dated, but it is something. Maybe they could have a writer go through and clean up the mission text at the very least.

There used to be an entire Exploration System in the game until a couple years or so ago. They removed it due to it being dated and not really "living up to the games current standards". Which again, I understand, but there were a lot of players who were upset over removing so much content.

It wasn't great stuff, and it could get repetitive after even a handful of missions. But there were instances where all you did was fly around or beam down to a planet/moon and scan for stuff. Sure there were missions involving combat, and what type of mission you got was totally random, but it was something to do that felt a little bit like exploration. It was also nice if all you had was 10 minutes or so just to kill some time.

I think they said that we would get some form of exploration back, but that was around the time they removed the old exploration system. Since then not a hint that we'll get anything like that again.

There are definitely more patrols (repeteable), look at these sectors: Azure, Japori, H'atoria, Narendra, Mempa.

Not all systems in those zones have them but some do. Might have to be certain lvl captain to be able to do them.
