It's their way of "adding content." In reality, it's a time sink that forces you to log in daily and frustrate you into paying for game currency. And it ISN'T going to change. They're making too much money off of it to ever consider it.
It isn't Crypitc's job to fix things. They just put in repeatable content and fake cash grab expansions and call it new and shiny. For ****'s sake, we need to stop asking for things to improve. This game is way beyond fixing. Besides, the solution ALWAYS comes in the form of a new ship or lockbox item you'll never have.
So if you don't like it LEAVE. Got it. Black and white generic solution, nevermind the much bigger marketing issues at hand. Thanx for that. EDIT: Limiting actual playtime is pointless. I mean, really. If there's nothing to do then there's no reason to log in in the first place.
I admit that one missed me because I'm not a Voyager fan. But even them, wouldn't hat be considered more of a bartering device than an actual formal currency? Archer and Tucker did something similar with Earth spices, but those spices aren't a currency. I dunno. I've seen all of VOY once or twice, but most of it didn't…
People did complain when DIL was introduced. And I agree. Energy Credits make sense. Gold Pressed Latinum is obvious. They could have worked in less significant currencies, like Quatloos. Dilithium is the crystal that makes the ship go, and a symbolic mineral on some planets. I don't remember it EVER being used as…
12 WHOLE days?? That's horrible! You must be shaking in withdrawal!! *hands glass of kanar* In all seriousness, I'm glad you aren't spending money on the game anymore. It's really good to know even the whales are getting tired of it.
I doubt they'll touch Defera...we've been begging them to fix it for HOW long? Hell, we couldn't PAY them to fix anything about the place. I'd be amazed if they nerfed the place. Then again...I can see it.
VERY dead horse. KDF has gotten the short end of the stick since the game had existed. Romulans came in WAY later, and at the time were actually more developed than KDF. The KDF stuff is much improved since launch, but still lacking next to the Federation Golden Children. Don't let it get to you.
So...you're a whale, and the game revolves around you...and you have a ear that that is somehow going to change? Why would it? And why would you be concerned? PWE isn't interested in poor college students or anyone who isn't inheriting their parents' ginormous estate. If you ARE a whale...you'll be fine. Your opinions are…
I have to agree with you there. Doctors Without Borders is a great example. They go to the ****tiest economically jacked up countries and stay in the finest hotels there....which equate to our basic Motel 6. Most of these docs can afford to take a year off and have a nice house waiting for them and whatnot...but going to a…
I'm a little biased. I was in the army, and The American Red Cross was responsible for telling families when their kids were killed in action. They do some great work overall, at least from my perspective as a former enlisted grunt. BUT...they also have sky high operating costs, being that they're spread as thin as our…
My JHDC, Cell Ship, Armataige, NX and Connie are all in the same boat. Right now I'm only using my Fleet Akira. My Mirror Ship collection is gathering dust. There was a time when I would have ground out the lobi I need for the Assilimlated Cruiser for my Romulan...but I've given up in it. I have alts to RP (like a mirror…
I don't like the idea of having a cooldown in place. Personally, I like to focus on one rep at a time and get it finished. I can't do that with the cooldown timers. I have to bounce back and forth, in the process losing my flow. People here assume it's one guy doing all the harm and whatnot...that might be so, but what is…
Again, cool for the charity. But PWE....NOT cool in the slightest. I think the tax writeoff theory is a good one. That's why Oprah "gives away" free cars all the time.
That's where I'm at. The only marks I need right now are Delta, and possibly fleet for projects. For some reason I keep hitting Dyson on the list of marks...but I'll eventually convert those to DIL so it isn't all a waste. The most I do when I log in now is send out my DOffs, reset my rep, do one or two queues (god forbid…
Interesting. Cool for the charity. But I still suspect there was more than a little PR in their motivations there. Does this mean PWE itself didn't donate?
I honestly didn't know that. It sounds out of character for such a blatantly money-grubbing corporation. Can you cite a source of this blasphemy? And what was the final donation total? OH, and how much of the final number as from PWE and how much was from employee donations? You know...traceable numbers.
