Having similar problems. I was in the game then zoned to a different area, started patching really slowly and eventually got server not responding. Tried to log back in and now the launcher is really slow and then I get stuck at character selection screen loading.

Just started getting really slow patch times and then server not responding. Normally I have no problems, just started about 30 mins to an hour ago for me. Hmm, now I'm stuck at character loading screen.

I'd absolutely agree with this. I'm prepared to buy something from the C-store but I am not prepared to gamble away $100's just for the chance of getting it. Quite frankly it's bad enough nearly all ships go in to the C-store without them all being lockbox drops too. That's why it was nice to get the Ambassador as a reward…

I'm having problems with missing ships too. I purchased the Excelsior and Nebula with cryptic points ages ago. I haven't played for quite some time until now. When I logged on some of my characters have one or the other and some have none at all. I thought they were account wide unlocks and now it is asking me to buy them…

I really enjoyed the episode, in fact I came back especially to play it, and getting the Ambassador, one of my favourite ST ships, was an added bonus. I now have both my favourite Trek ships in the game, Nebula and Ambassador :)
