Knowledge is meaningless without the dps to kill the advanced dreadnought in 3(?) minutes with 4 ships. Azure Nebula requires minimal knowledge of builds; it doesnt require DPS in any way, and you can get decent scores without killing a single ship. For clarity's sake, 'the rich geting richer' refers to the many objectives…
Most major enemy groups created after launch have featured unique & powerful skills that change up the gameplay. A lot of them have even been nonlinear. Voth look like they were designed from the ground up to make 'point at enemy, pull trigger' far less effective. The problem is not the enemy design, the problem is the…
Environment suits! You don't have to bring a flashlight! I've been considering switching to the Jem Hadar set (cloak on taking damage, self heal ability), but i want to run the mission to get the nanoenergy cell recipes first. I do think the TR-116s for all thing is way overblown. Most sources of kit damage are going to…
i feel for the effort you've put in, but minmaxing has always been incredible sensitive to game design changes. Rule of Acquisition 117: If the profit seems too good to be true, it usually is. i really doubt it will be 9/9, but you may do better than 5/5. they do have to be conscious of the people with resequenced traits…
it's possible they changed something, but RNGs are fickle. it wouldn't be the first time a run of bad luck - or even the end of a run of good luck - was interpreted as an intentional nerf.
it's actually more than possible to keep pvp and pve compatible with the same stats and gear (with a few exceptions). team pvp was reasonably balanced and fun and in my experience unique in the gameplay it offered back in 2012. KDF vs Starfleet was super wacky when all the KDF cloaked...even after that it was good times.…
STO's main 'server' is actually a cluster of a bunch of servers, infinitely expandable to most any load through sharding. Having enough servers to run the game for players while upgrading a bunch of other servers would essentially mean having twice as many servers as they need which is pretty damn expensive even leaving…
