About Splitting Traits

I've seen some of the rumors about how traits will be split and I know it's something on the drawing board for a future update. I just wanted to throw in a "please don't make it 5 space and 5 ground."

It's not that 5 traits isn't enough, it's so easy to be OP after all it's just a matter of I worked hard to get 10 space traits on a few characters who are designed for space. I'd hate the months of doing R&D projects, and the millions of EC spent on lockbox traits to be a half waste. Most of my toons just fill the 9 traits with a few space and mostly ground anyways but my space only characters came with a HUGE investment in dil, marks, EC, time, and in the case of their ships actual money. I'd rather stick to the current system or do a 9/9 split in the future. Again the arguement isn't needing all these traits to be good it's I put in a lot of effort to fill some characters with space traits and I'd rather have the current system than invalidate all my effort.

    i feel for the effort you've put in, but minmaxing has always been incredible sensitive to game design changes.

    Rule of Acquisition 117: If the profit seems too good to be true, it usually is.

    i really doubt it will be 9/9, but you may do better than 5/5. they do have to be conscious of the people with resequenced traits in particular.

    Quite a few people use all space traits in space and switch them out with all ground traits when on the ground, so I can't see the harm in them just giving us 10 ground and 10 space slots, all it would change is we won't spend 3 minutes prior to fighting on the ground switching traits out, I don't see where min/max'ing comes into it.
