I guess you're referring to the fact that Starbase upgrades require more fleet marks than projects, so it's easier to donate more Marks? For me, a better solution would be that when a Starbase hits top tier, the Donate Surplus Fleet Marks project would be increased from 2000 to 10000 needed (and maybe remove the lower…
I'd quite like to see veteran ships for Engineering and Science too. The current one is clearly Tactical focused - it'd be cool to get some with the other specialties too. Not likely I know, because we'd need 8 new ships, but I can dream!
I'd quite like this too. It could be a good theme. We've had a Breen theme for a few years, and a Fek'iri theme for a few years. Minor race ships from the shows would be a cool theme too - although there've also been plenty of them in lockboxes etc, so maybe it's not that likely.
I'm not a mod of course, but I'd consider the purpose of something being an FCT. It seems to me that the FCTs are intended to stop people demanding things of STO (or talking about flamefests etc). Having a discussion which is not demanding anything wouldn't necessarily go against the FCT - especially looking at the STO 2.0…
Is there an error in the blog post around how many tokens we need to obtain the ship? It says we need 20 tokens, and you get 2 tokens for doing the TFO or 1 for a patrol. This would mean you only need to do the stuff for 10 days, which is fewer than normal. Obviously I'm not disappointed at this, but it is unusual. Also,…
I'll be putting the Venture skin on it anyway, so no worries there. And yeah I know what the word razer means. I just think it's a terrible name
Me too. Twice! I'm planning on getting the Typhon, but I'll probably get that using the token from the Science Destroyer pack when I get that (I'm waiting on another 35% sale - we've just had one, so I'll be waiting a while). When I complete the event on Thursday, I'm going to get the World Razer. Terrible name for a ship,…
I'm glad it's not just me. It seems to happen really frequently with instanced maps, or ones where I'm the first one in (like a fleet holding for example).
That's precisely why I did like it. I enjoy Star Trek for its exploration and science themes as much as fighting. I understand that it doesn't always make for exciting gameplay, and I certainly wouldn't want every mission to be like that, but when it's done infrequently, it's a good change of pace in my opinion. -K

1. They did. https://www.playstartrekonline.com/en/news/article/11569544 2. There was discussion about it when it was first announced: https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/1273686/delete-alt-control/p1 3. Yes. Everything they do is personally designed to insult you. At least you didn't say it was a…
500 lobi is valuable, and I love summonables, so the shuttles are a great reward for me too. Hopefully they'll find a way to reward those of us who have all the epic ships, but if not, they can sit in my bank until I miss an event or something.
100% agree with this. STO is the only MMO I've stuck with, mainly for this reason. I tried The Old Republic and DCUO, but despite them both having worlds and stories that interested me, the paywalling put me off quite quickly. K
I've found myself in this situation too with one of my runs. We did get it done eventually, but it was painful and not much fun once it got to that point. I do sympathise with anyone who'd choose to bail though!
I don't understand why it's better to have a single account wide ship than a choice on a per character basis. The second gives more choice, so surely it's better?
A volunteer mod on a game site posting a link to the game's actual site... Whatever next? Not liking the site is fine. Advocating for the site to change is fine. Bitching at badmoon for posting a link to it is not.
There's some discussion around the Epic reward being not that useful for people who have all the epic level ships. It's possible that they removed it while they resolve that issue?
I liked it. A bit too much shooting, but the story beats we did get were good. I hope we get to see more of the bad guys in future stories. I also don't trust the Aetherians, and hope to see a twist there. I loved the environment - it was well implemented and looked great. I liked the twists with the Borg, and their nature…
