I have no problem with it being an AOE effect, as long as the range obviously is reduced. It would be great if this is what they did in combination of re-working shield resistance diminishing returns to be in line with hull reistance.

Probably the best PVP update I could give is that you can get in the MWO Beta right now with any "Founders" purchase....cheapest package is $30 fyi. No magical heals or non-stop slows and disables. It's a pretty damn good game at this stage already and shaping up very nicely.
