If we're doing time travel, would it be impossible to have our max-level characters go back in time to redo alternate versions of old-school levelling missions? If they brought new story elements, I'd buy into that. Seems like this would be easier than making everyone re-roll.
I think you could drive demand for interiors and bridges if you gave us more things to do there that are worthwhile in the rest of the game. Perhaps a minigame that would give you a small buff? Maybe a minigame for tac officers that gives you a boost to weapons, or for eng officers that boosts your power levels for a time…
Agreed. I'm getting thrown off on the mirror universe event and 4-5 times during one of the kobali open missions. It's getting to the point that the game is virtually unplayable.
One way to revitalize the clusters is to have a mix of studio-created, foundry-created and procedurally-created content. Throw in a couple of Cryptic-created missions, with voice-overs, special effects and the whole bit and have that mission crop up randomly. Add new missions every so often as their production schedule…
I'm an engineer with the new zen store carrier/destroyer (1 bay of scorpions). I'm thinking I want defense stats to play as a sort-of tank with decent damage ability. From what you've said, it sounds like the MACO set would work better for me than the omega or assimilated sets? EB
Grinding the omega marks isn't that hard. Where I'm running into increasing difficulty is with the replicated materials and, eventually, I think, the experience points. I don't get enough of either from the STFs to sustain doing the special projects as often as possible (~20h). How do you handle getting enough of those?…
+1 to this. I'd love to see a linux port. I play on Mac and Linux using Codeweavers, but it always feels like a kludge and their support only takes you so far. EB
For what it's worth, I've been running the game in Crossover by Codeweavers for a few weeks on an iMac and on a System76 laptop running Manjaro linux (Bonobo Extreme). The linux laptop has the popping while the iMac does not. Weird.
Doh123, Do you post version notes with each update of the wrapper? I'm running 1.4.1 but see there is now version 1.5.1. How can I tell what is new? EB
At the risk of making my criticism not constructive, I have to say: "THIS ... SUCKS.. THIS SUCKS... HARD" I really don't *WANT* yet another user name and password to memorize and to manage. Why do we insist on breaking what's working? EB
