New Romulus doesn't have buildings! :-) But, really, I'm thinking more about how fun it would be to pump the RSE back up as an adversarial faction to the RR, the KDF, and the Feds. Not necessarily friend or foe but formidible, without relying on Iconian or Borg backing. An adventure zone where the people you're helping…
From what I have heard, CBS will allow a great many things provided they can be undone. Hence, the novels were able to kill Janeway but they subsequently brought her back. From what I've heard, you can kill just about anybody or do just about anything on two conditions as a licensee: 1) You have a reset button. In this…
I think it's reasonable to suggest that anything in the promo picture that you can't recreate is a bug. The shorts are black in the promo picture, for example. The picture also shows the rank insignia (which is epaulets and not pips, like Enterprise). The epaulets were even usable as rank insignia for this costume on The…
I think it's quite likely that just as the Mobius and Wells were cousins and this is the Mobius' big brother (albeit Science based), we'll probably see a "big brother" to the Wells that is more Tac based.
What would make the difference for me with these pets is if, like the Galaxy saucer, they could also use (even light versions of) temporal powers if those consoles are equipped.
A thing I thought about from when Butterfly came out: Erasing someone from the timeline also risks undoing what they'll do in the future to alter the past. It also affects off-worlders. For example: In the off-worlder scenario: Maybe Flint or Guinan is essential to the Na'kuhl. Destroying earth too soon may result in their…
Alan Ruck has been very vocal that he'd like to play Harriman again and have him be more competent with some more experience. From what I gather, he's a big fan and it was kind of like taking a poison pill with a gourmet meal to be captain of the Enterprise but end up being the incompetent captain. That was part of why he…
A Reddit poster checked on Tribble. These things are always subject to change but... 3 piece set bonus with the new console: 10% reduction in Sci BO ability cooldowns, 50% on Mannheim/Tipler/new console cooldowns... That's extremely nice. Great for Sci Captains. Great for AHOD Tac Captains (ie. fewer misfires). Probably…
It would make more sense if they opened Nukara to bridge officers and/or announced a new Tholian Adventure Zone. Between the number of photonic BOffs floating around now and the number of high grade EV suits, it feels like we should have an environmental hazard adventure zone that allows BOffs.
Sheesh. Guys, the Lobi store is far more accessible than a lockbox prize. It isn't clear altogether whether both Terran uniforms are for Lobi or if one is C-Store but it is a fairly exotic uniform. I'd be curious to see the Romulan and Klingon uniforms mentioned, actually, and whether exchange officers can wear those since…
I somehow think this would be likelier for the 50th anniversary of Trek event rather than the 6th anniversary of STO event. I wouldn't mind a Phoenix admirality card being added for First Contact Day either, an A card for completing the optionals in each STF (the Kang for The Cure, the U.S.S. Venture -- Rebecca Simmons'…
Assuming a T6 Connie (or even T5) will never happen (and I don't think minds changing at CBS and Cryptic would be impossible on a long enough timeline)... It would likely happen when content calls for NPCs flying Connies. We haven't seen NPCs flying those ships since the Devidian series, Foundry aside. I think a remodel…
Different Star Empire. The old Romulan Star Empire ended with Romulus. Taris and/or Sela (I forget) started a new Romulan Star Empire but they had to build a new government with the Senate and Praetor dead. (Technically, there might have been more transition than that. After Hobus, going by the comic -- which had some STO…
I wouldn't be surprised to see them giveaway mirror ships going forward. Why? Because especially with Admiralty being in play, it's still "something new" for people who have all the ships. And that way claiming the freebie Mirror ship doesn't take away your need/option to get the C-Store ship.
I'm reminded of a Shakespeare quote: "And Enterprises of great pitch and moment With this regard their currents turned awry And lose the name of action."
I think the big problem this game has with modeling cloaking (and the effectiveness of ship classes) in part comes down to relatively one dimensional combat where damage is overrated. If diplomacy were a combat mechanic and cloaking was less of a PvP ability, this wouldn't matter so much to people. I think a big problem…

That's potentially a huge overstatement. We know the original Connie was shot down for a time. There are reasonable guesses that it was something CBS shot down to give Paramount more room to license the 2009 Connie. CBS shooting it down at that time didn't mean CBS was forever against it. It doesn't mean the reason CBS was…
