Possible anniversary reward: Enterprise admiralty ship card?

kontarnuskontarnus Member Posts: 289 Arc User
As in one of the previous Enterprise versions (or more than one?), since name ships always have higher than normal Admiralty stats.

The latest fiction ("Preemptive Planning") does obliquely mention a certain Enterprise with 17 Temporal violations and all other ships named Enterprise

Named ships ALWAYS have higher stats? I think 2 ships aren't enough of a pattern to say "always."

It would be cool, I agree, but after all the speculation about a T6 Rhode Island class that started after the Epic quality USS Rhode Island card came out, I doubt they troll the playerbase with the Connie.

...Until April 1st, when they can release the Admiralty Card and the date will imply that it's never gonna happen, ending speculation quickly.

Now, an Epic USS Enterprise-F(G?) Card would light the forums with some better substantiated rumors...

Maybe. Then again, admitality cards don't really impress me. I certainly don't need them (the chars not having completed the campaigns breezw through them via the regular and event ships) and wouldn't make a big fuzz around one.

I somehow think this would be likelier for the 50th anniversary of Trek event rather than the 6th anniversary of STO event. I wouldn't mind a Phoenix admirality card being added for First Contact Day either, an A card for completing the optionals in each STF (the Kang for The Cure, the U.S.S. Venture -- Rebecca Simmons' ship -- for Infected, the I.R.W. Valdore for Khitomer).

Ooh... The forgot about 1st Contact Day. Yeah, a Phoenix would be appropriate, wouldn't it? Hmm...

Well, it would be a shuttle, so something in that ballpark. Most shuttles are only good for their mods or as "recyclable pass tokens" anyways.

A shuttle card with some useful effect wouldn't bad either. Gottal love those "+10 ALL Stats per any Ship" types and my rom-/kdf characters sure could use some more of them.

Sure, but since it's completely unarmed and given it's historic age it must be below a type-8's stats and can't feature tac at all. Card bonus could be something like "scientific vision" and grant a juicy +sci boost to all cards.

An Enterprise-F card would be quite delightful.

I don't think that it's too much of a stretch to say that named ships actually do have better stats in Admiralty. We can't compare the Rhode Island to a T6 Nova, but we can compare the Hegh.

IKS Hegh 62-42-31, with the +20 sci per any ship as compared to a normal Qib Battlecruiser 54-37-17 +10sci per eng ship

Remember the greatness of a starship isn't just in the ship...it's also in the crew. Picard's Stargazer would have higher stats than your average Constellation no doubt.

I somehow think this would be likelier for the 50th anniversary of Trek event rather than the 6th anniversary of STO event. I like your thinking.

    But what mods.

Stop and think about just how useful that would be.

Honestly I think a real cool give away would be a set of Admiral cards and doffs that would actually be every one of the hero ships and main characters from the shows. a NX enterprise, the original series, motion picture, 1701 A, B, C, D, E, Defiant, Voyager. Thats 10 ship cards, then Holo novel advisor doff's of the bridge crews of the shows.

I'm confused. I do not command the Enterprise and cannot imagine how I should have an admiralty card suggesting that I had one at my disposal. I do have an Ambassador class support cruiser retrofit that is not the 1701-C. And even though we've done patrols together in the Tau Dewa sector, and I am a fleet admiral...I don't have the authority to take Shon's ship from him. How would I have a 1701-F card? My point is that most of us have the base class of these ships, but the hero version should remain exclusive. Maybe a 1x and then only of vessels that are actually in service?

your an admiral. you can be shon's boss. it not taking his ship from him, if he is still in the big chair and your off doing you own thing.

No First Contact Day last year. Hopefully that won't be the case in the 50th Anniversary Year.
