Wrong. While DS9 has some low-grade textures, it is NOT the same as on live, they are worse. I posted several before/after shots myself from various places in the game. That may be a good idea. I think he's seen it, though, or maybe got word when I told Dan about it in-game, since the ship consoles were fixed. But still would be nice to get some confirmation on what the story / plan is.

Found a couple more. The more I look around I can see it all over. It looks like overly compressed JPEG artifacts. As if they recompressed the original JPEGs again after applying some filter. Most people probably won't notice, but they might not even realize why things feel a little degraded as most people probably don't…

I wish I had more time to look around and compare. Sadly, once the expansion goes live we won't be able to look back and see what was affected by this change. So now is the time to look for these messed up textures. There are probably countless thousands of texture files for this game. The devs can't look through them all.…

AH! I found another texture set that got garbled on bridges. http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/5330/comp7.jpg The paintings got screwed up just like the consoles did. I just checked the recent update (3rd) and on the Belfast bridge at least, it looks like the console textures are back to how they used to be. I took screens and compared and they are the same as they are in the live game again. Hope they stay that way. :)

This is the last vet reward (1000). There won't be another one. But you're probably right that it will be outranked at some point. It might not even be that powerful as it is. We'll see tomorrow.

I bet this would be the case as well. They won't give away a ship that's more powerful than one they can sell to everyone else, 1000 day vets included. There are a lot more people that will be hitting the 1000 day mark than you might think. So I doubt they will want to give away, basically for free, a really powerful ship…

What can the "transformation" be? That should be a good clue to work from. None of the winners on that contest post seems to have some transformation ability, unless it was added on as a modification to the design. Still, looking forward to this. 15 days for me.
