Its nice and all, but any thing yet about the maybe doubling of the Dill we can refine like CO has for there 1k vets?
Would make life with certain things easyer
Also why next week if some people seem to have like 7 days left.. Why not like now?! Or will it be like early next week? I am happy to see that there is something special comming up for people that payed every month, or got LTS!
Talking to my self, asking stuff to my self, definitely not understanding my self. Such is the life of an overworked Starfleet admiral.
1000 Days Shuts Not Cruisers, They Are Destroyer Class
I think I can call this now if this is the truth. KDF will be one of the missing B'rel varients, FED will be something like the Aquarius. Maybe it will be a new skin for the FED. Which I think is bad, I would keep subscribing if it was one of the single warp engine designs like the Saladin class from the old Star Trek tech book.

"The fed one is one of the enterprise f concept entry's. An bout have bad TRIBBLE abilities that make them transform a bit. I love both designs "
No, the Vesta is not the 1000-day Fed ship Priority One got a sneak peek at the Vesta and 1000-day ships, among other goodies, for an upcoming special they're having. I don't want to give away too much yet, so you'll just have to tune into their upcoming episodes.
We'll also have a blog released next week that details the Fed and KDF 1000-day ships, among the other 1000-day Vet Rewards.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
As long as that ship is the One to rule them all, and in the darkness of Space tractor-beam BIND them!
Fuzzyprise would've made a good science ship, but I think everyone rather have Madden's ship. It's the T5 Consitution we wanted and it was the most popular ship in the DTNE Contest.
I'd say something about my ship, but it became the Regent.
What can the "transformation" be? That should be a good clue to work from. None of the winners on that contest post seems to have some transformation ability, unless it was added on as a modification to the design.
But after reading what was said by James Lee, looks like it might be another ship that isn't the Fuzzyprise nor Maddens. He said it was a "Destroyer" with "transforming capability".
The only ship of those entries that I saved, the only one that had something like that was Shawn Tourgeau's entry, which had with saucer seperation with a cresent-shaped saucer.
That doesn't rule out Exeter/Excalibur/Vesta/*Not Connie*.
If you perform the T1 to T5 standard stat conversions, its stats come out so that it's not even the toughest escort. That's the wild thing. It's presented as a cruiser at T1 but if you upgrade the stats to T5 using the same multipliers as other T1 ships get in their T5 conversion, it comes out as an Escort/Destroyer. The T1 cruiser could not be a cruiser at T5 if you upgraded the stats, which is probably why they held off on releasing it.
And a few of those top design entries, including the 2nd place, could work as a new Exeter/Excalibur/Vesta variant that replaces the Connie costume.
It would crack me up if they dug my entry out of the pile since my concept was, specifically, all about a transforming ship.
The idea was that the ship had a phase cloak that only affected parts of the ship, called the "Ghost decks."
It's not capable of fully cloaking/phase cloaking. It's only the auxiliary section.
So instead of saucer sep, what it does is phase cloak the auxiliary hull (with all civilians/non-essentials sent there), turning the saucer into a maneuverable death boat).
I tried to find your design, Leviathan99, but it's no longer on the STO site. Can you post a link?
Zinc: The universe of Star Trek Online is shaped and changed by the actions of the players...expect to see new planets and races discovered that were unknown the last time you logged in."
How would it help that part of the ship is phased ?
If the ship is destroyed I am assuming the phased areas lose their source of power and what not anyway ?
Seems like a cheap knock-off saucer seperation to me
Also if they had the technology to make something untouchable by energy and matter wouldn't they include the whole ship
The phased area has its own power supply.
When it phases, the saucer switches to its own power supply.
The phased part is massless and untargetable but capable of dropping out of phase to add power and structural integrity to the saucer.
Basically, the aux section ghosts out, leaving the saucer with less power but more maneuverability. But the two remain attached under the same principle that Geordi and Ro didn't fall through the floor when they phased. And the ghosted section can resolidify, adding power and structural integrity at any point on the fly.
I kinda imagined the ghosted section being semi-transparent and ghostly while remaining attached.
So the phased sections provide MORE power while using phase ?
Wouldn't it require more power than just running life support unless you cut that off during
But it had its own power supply so how would it hog less if it weren't hogging power to begin with
I am saying if the ship were destroyed would the phased parts just go on living or be destroyed anyway
Less because they divert power to staying phased.
Ship has two power cores. Very powerful and durable when unphased.
The main hull phases out, leaving saucer and nacelles which stay behind has less power and durability but more mobility. The main hull is segregated, out of phase with reality, a ghost.
But on the fly, it can de-phase, increasing power and hull and crew.
The phased parts would remain phased. The phase cloak is in their part of the ship. They could stay their forever until someone turns up to retrieve them or until their dilithium recrystallization fails. Or de-phase and get blown up. The part that ghosts out has a powerful engine but no propulsion of its own.
Fuzzyprise would've made a good science ship, but I think everyone rather have Madden's ship. It's the T5 Consitution we wanted and it was the most popular ship in the DTNE Contest.
Truth be told, I would much rather have the Fuzzyprise. :P

so sad it lost. Even sadder turbosquid took it down. The jerks.
I tossed it together in a short evening with a bad scanner and open source software once I found that voting was by total votes; I was scared to submit any later. So the image quality is bad and it is strikingly unoriginal.
The best ideas are probably the places where I innovated a little bit like where I tilted the Enterprise-C grille at a V and made it the illuminated blue plasma section.
There's something I like about the Defiant style deflector being smoothed into the saucer.
Kindof a wretched abomination in many respects. I'd curve the pylons to bow more, beef up the base of the neck and shoot for something original if I had to do over.
The big thing I wanted was a silhouette that felt like a beefy little warship version of the Connie/Ambassador.
The guy who got the second place entry did a much better job, both on rendering and design with a similar concept.
I kinda like my warped saucer and nacelles although the bussard collectors as talons is kinda weird.
Everything from the top down I'd re-do and render properly and I'd probably portray the "ghost decks" a lot more dramatically in addition to making them less of a warped Ambassador rip.
Like I say, I warped, traced, scanned and colored this thing quick because I thought the key was to enter early and score votes rather than focus on quality.
I remember getting quite a few, somehow, with this monstrosity of a kitbash. I'm kinda embarrassed now.
One thing I can see that would be kinda cool is if the pylons out and slid it to hug the saucer in the alternate mode and the whole thing flipped upside down so that with the aux hull gone, it could turn into something like a Nebula. It would look less fragile and weird that way.

I'd love to see that design in game.

Definitely my most favorite content entry. Slender and sleek, yet imposing. Ship looks like a 25th century connie. Love it!
Still, looking forward to this. 15 days for me.

So you go between cruiser and escort.
It was a kitbash with distorted proportions. I rushed to do it.
I'll check when I get home.
If they did use it, I'd imagine they'd use my power with someone else's design unless the kitbash idea somehow made it easier.
One word for that ship http://chrismaddenart.com/ent-f_final.jpg , WOW, I hope we get this ship

It could always be the one that was Picard's head, painted blue, with nacelles for ears.

If they had technology to phase something, why wouldn't the phase the whole ship and fight klingon style cloaking in and out ?
Only ship design I like so far is the klingon carrier so I don't know it might be an okay design you made, primadonna here so
