Borked link, so someone tell me what it has to do with STO and why it's not in Ten Forward. EDIT: Manually typed link, answer is: unrelated to STO, Ten Forward's that way -->
Remember how wadded they got about that "Delta Rising is the greatest expansion ever..." signature thing? Less posting = less posting of discontent. Think about it. B)
Fix the glitched KDF outfits bug that's had several of my Tac KDF's outfits borked since 2012-ish. Bad enough the slots can't be used, but some of'em are occupying 2 since I recreated "working" versions which are now likewise borked. Can't even fix the invisible Risian Floater glitch on my KDF-Rom Reman Eng...try to change…
Thought: A lot of us, after the old forums got that "Fifty Shades of Boring" revamp, were running Stylist with a setup some forum user had made thus not looking at grey on grey on grey. Me, I'm missing the black background with white text I was using until this last migration something fierce. Currently investigating use…
I'm reminded of Jim Varney as Seaman "Gloom and Doom" Broom on the TV version of Operation Petticoat, strumming his guitar and repeating "We're gonna sink, we're gonna sink." Another crewman suggests he try being positive. -strum- "I'm positive we're gonna sink..."
I can't help but think some of the other hideousness was deliberate, and not over space concerns. The general disdain for this mess seems likely to reduce visits and posting- which could in turn reduce the visible complaints about things like Dilithium Rising and others that seem to have dominated the old forums of late.…
"Like?" No, I don't like hideous abominations...and those are preferable to this...this...half-baked abortion of what was a bad idea to begin with. Now go on, ask me to not hold back and tell you what I really think. ;)
Read page of posts, scroll back to top to find navigation buttons to go to next page... -sigh- Is it sad that I'm longing for various pieces of BBS software that used to be run on secondhand 386es? :(
Seconded, and hoping this isn't it. Where's whoever did that "Stylist" thing when the old forums went monochromatic? WTB black background. Desperately.
I'm 110% sure I don't. My vision's bad enough to begin with without this white-on-pale-grey text swimming in front of my eyes any time there's more than 2 lines. :'(
Aaaand, more of the same. "No really, we've got some stuff. Trust us. We won't tell you anything about it, but seriously, trust us- have we ever let y'all down before?"
And that obstinate refusal to accept criticism (or to accept that maybe someone who's been around much longer could know something he doesn't) is exactly why "malazancommander" is the answer to the question.
But instead they chose to remove it completely. Now what do you suppose that decision means with regard to the chances of them adding it back in, hmmm?
Whatever it pretends to be about, I'm sure it'll follow the current trend of containing no useful information whatsoever while throwing out a few hints guaranteed to stir the hornets' nest up real well. That's just The Cryptic Way.
But we live in the real world, not the ideal one. So since this has gotten results, we can now look forward to "Ice swimming for AIDS," "Bungie Jumping for [pick your favorite type of] cancer," "Wet t-shirt challenge for Multiple Sclerosis," "Belly-flopping for concussion awareness," and it's only going to spiral downward…
And ALS has what to do with STO? Think before you post. And writing checks to ALS research does more for ALS than stupid "America's Funniest Home Videos" grade stunts. Once again, think before you post.
