Well considering Cryptic refused to add functionality that players wanted, such as Doffs, it's not surprising it didn't get used. Not to mention it constantly refused to load half the time. You failed to care for it, as a result, nobody used it after a while.

Except tides of Ice isn't completing, i've done it 4 times now but only have credit for one. So with it bugging out and requiring (at least) an instance change to get credit the next time you run it it's going to be difficult to unlock the gear.

It's only 'cheaper' if you get in lots of 5000 or more due to the bonuses. Usually the 10-30 dollar sets are identical, plus with Steam you can buy 500 zen levels which is nice if you just wanna get a service.
