-Sarcophagus, but i am biased towards carriers (always have been). -B'Rel BoP, if available with only one hangar, a frigate is going to be a prime choice, and none are more iconic than a Bird of Prey. -Sarcophagus, again. -KoR for function, I mean, it is a T6. If i had to go for just looks, then it would be the Koloth.
My Liberated Borg Romulan, shot Hakeev in the face and would do it again, with out hesitation. On a different note, one of the recent events that had 7of9 in it, that you "replayed" that missions did not go how it went for me, you stopped someone else from doing it, which isnt how it happened, nor how it would have…
The trait for the new carriers is also bugged, or at least inconsistent. The -5% for captain abilities applies a limited number of times then stops working all together or an ability that gets to 30 seconds left also completely stops reducing the cooldown, at least most of the time. It's very hit or miss, on getting the…
I can confirm the fighters can be used on the 26th century Universe class ships (Valkis in my case). On another slightly different note, the fighters are not unique, so both slots can be set to use them, if you'd rather opt to using those instead of the frigates.
Mine is rather simple, but significant, especially as a primarily Romulan player. Bridges. Like the exterior items that can be added (shield, impulse, deflector), rep or otherwise, I'd love for Bridges to have this option. Assign a ship a bridge from a ship you own (EG you must own the ship to assign the bridge). In the…
While i don't mind some of the ground endeavors, i do get tired of them being the majority of what i get. Using a token to pass on them just results in a different ground for me, never had one become space, but i have had the opposite occur. While STO is supposed to be a mix of both, would be nice if the RNG would actually…
I'm aware of the cost differences, i work for a hosting provider (MSP). My point still stands though, they should not be trying to support clients using an OS that has not been supported for an extended period of time. It's just bad juju to do so. I mean this isnt talking about replacing something just a few years old,…
Know you have more info coming but I did want to comment on this one (well all of them) but this one the most. Server 2003 and WinXP have been out of support for 3 years by Microsoft. Win7 falls out of support next Jan, and will not be extended like they had done with WinXP for it's end of life. Suffice it to say, for the…
I want to say yes, but it's been awhile and i dont remember if it was locked for only for BOFF's that were Klingon. The easiest method is to check on your Captain while viewing in the changing room, if the option is there (provided you dont have it disabled for not owning it) you'll see it listed there if you are able to…
Have my 26th century Temporal Heavy Dreadnoughts actually have more weapon hard-points than an escort. The above has been my only gripe about STO since its inception. The lack of hard point restrictions based on ship type/class. T6 should mean more bridge / module slots, not Starbase level of fire power. Talk about…
+damage and % damage are going to modify differently. That's comparing apples to oranges with regards to increases. You'll have to use the same bonuses to have an equivalent comparison + with + damage or % with % damage.
Therein lies the problem. The 39.4% from one consoles still gives a larger boost to a given weapon even with the diminishing returns. My example of running 4 tac fleet consoles sets my dps on my DBB to 2080 (or 1664dps) if i change to any other console as none have anywhere even close to the 39.4%, i loose damage…
Yay, edit monster got me! The above is true for resist consoles. However I've not see this to be the case for TAC damage consoles. If i use 4 TAC disruptor consoles and change one of them to use the fleet version (same damage bonus but different console), the damage remains unchanged. Perhaps I've misunderstood your…
While this is true for resist consoles, i do not see it being the case for damage consoles. If i have 4 standard tac consoles for disruptors, and change one of them to be a fleet version (a different console but same damage modifier), there is no change to damage. Maybe I have misunderstood what you wrote here, please…
I had to log out and back in to see my items yesterday evening before the most recent reboot of the server. Hadn't checked this morning to see if it still happens.
Not worth this price point as i see it. Taking a W.A.G. at it, but for that price the ships must come with some over the top traits that will get nerfed shortly afterwards. Deal implies getting more value for the buck, but i am not seeing it here even if my guess is correct. This pack only needs one word to define it:…
Fed wants more bridge...scoffs. I've got 3 bridges total to choose from: Romulan default, Universe or Scimitar. Give me some more first, then we'll talk. But speaking of bridges, i do use one bridge quite heavily, Suliban Cell ship. If others had similar features, i'm sure the overall bridge use would go up.…
Why end anything? There's always strange new worlds to explore. My main character is a Liberated Borg Romulan, don't see how they would be able to make a new faction with existing, and honestly wouldnt want them to. If they were to make a playable race as they did the Jem'Hadar, I'd want the experience of something new.…
Personally, I like the Valkis Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Warbird, as my carrier of preference. Had the ship since it first release, and have played it as my main ship ever since (Liberated Romulan Borg). The pets do really well since the balance changes were done (no more core breach pet deaths, and there was much…
Thank you for the auto correct mistake being noted. Happens after playing a war game. /shurg You have your bias, and that's fine. I have mine too, we all do. I ignored the first poster for obvious reasons, i never said discovery was kelvin, never even entered my mind so i glossed over it. As to fans being bad and not worth…
While i can fully understand the reasoning for why people would feel this way, it does beg one question. How would Gene have felt about it? I mean, think of all the flak when TNG first went into production, and all that's been told since then by the actors / crew, during that time. To me, I saw Gene as always wanting his…
Your correct, dont know, dont wanna know. Taking in TRIBBLE that some production company makes just because its cannon doesnt change the fact it is TRIBBLE. It has been, and always will be. Maybe if they actually listened to the fans it would have been something worth actually watching, instead of just trying to reinvent…
As to the topic, at this point I'm just glad they are finally moving the story forward. Whoever though more then one attempt at prequels was a good idea shoulda been beaten with the warp core. So, I'm hopeful for the new series, since FINALLY it is being moved forward. I'm hoping they expand on existing things that are…
Am i excited, would have to say NO. Couldn't stand to even watch the series, even if it were easily available (which it wasnt) much less so that they decided to reinvent the wheel when it flat wasn't needed. I'm sorry a Drak (from Enemy Mine) + Klingon = Discovery Klingons, is not what people were hoping for in a "new"…
Yup pretty much what I do too. I get a theme and go with it, even the ship names go with a theme. But maybe it's just my imagination, see for yourself.
