  • None of these suggestions will work to fix the exchange like people want. As one person noted there are a huge number of accounts that have the max number of characters that solely exist for farming dilithium. Once you create a worthwhile dilithium sink, these types of accounts will still bury the exchange. Any time you…
  • Crystalline Catastrophe and the space battlezones should be fun with hordes of carriers. I seem to remember a time when KDF carriers were nerfed because of the pet spam (among other things).
  • Also it is only for those that use Twitter. For those of us who dislike social media, we are not going to be entering into it. Meanwhile, nothing for KDF or Romulan players. :( *shrug* Who wants yet another fed ship, free or otherwise?
  • This will never happen. KDF will always be kicked to the curb. Al Rivera hates the KDF and seems to take every opportunity to remind us that we (the KDF) don't matter, and can collectively go to hell. It's Cryptic's treatment of the KDF (and Romulans for that matter) that really sours my view of the franchise.
  • Being KDF this isn't an issue. Early Starfleet missions (pre-PWE) left a lot to be desired, and had more than a few "What the Hell?!?" moments (Divide et Impera anyone?). There are still several out there. Most people, in my opinion, came to STO to be Captain Kirk rather than Picard. I would rather be General Chang than…
  • I'd like to give Sela a box of cookies for being the most interesting thing in that whole terrible excuse for a season/war.
  • If you don't like the content of the thread, you don't have to discourage others from participating.
  • Nothing needs to be done about them. The danger is over. You can stand down from red alert. The bug is fixed so now you might see a party amp in ONE instance every so often.
  • Beside myself with happiness. :D
  • That depends on the person asking, and how they are phrasing it. The OP asked for an unspecified open ended change to the nullifiers. I think that nullifiers are fine, and am asking that they be left the way they are.
  • Those new bugs that are introduced are usually for new content, not for unneeded changes for a device that only a small group of people are demanding ( the very same group tht always goes off the deep end about this). A bug that is introduced with a change to this device would not be the end of the world, no. However a bug…
  • Do you have access to a Windows PC? Or have a friend who does? Without the Champions client you are up a creek. Try asking support to see if they can remove that chat channel for you...A forlorn hope. Support for things like that is more miss than hit.
  • People can disagree and still be civil to each other. This is something that people seem to have forgotten on the internet. Having a flamewar on a game board makes a bad situation much worse, and not only damages the player's experience with the game, but can also damage a companies image for letting a situation spiral out…
  • I really don't care about client-side suppression or negation or whatever you wish to call it. What bothers me is the fairly good probability that something will go wrong, and people with the nullifiers will be out in force screaming about the world ending because they they got mugged by the law of unintended consequences,…
  • Thanks, no.
  • Your opinions are not facts. You have a very narrow perception of things. Just because you believe something, doesn't neccessarily make it true. You are pulling unrelated things together to make something out of nothing. Making unfounded accusations isn't helping your cause, it's only digging you a deeper hole. You say…
  • That's your opinion. The idea that the nullifier needs 'fixing' is another opinion. I don't know where you are pulling out a disregard for new players from. I have stated that they can get whatever they need JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE. All they have to do is ask about the shiny spinney thing. Is it a disregard for new players…
  • You are being optimistic. This bug seems to have appeared out of nowhere. It's not gamebreaking. It just annoys some people, and makes others screaming mad, while others think "ok, that's cool", and the majority just go about their business. Think about all the other bugs that have come from quality of life improvements.…
  • I have thought about my position....I thought I made it clear. Let sleeping dogs lie. The party amp and the nullifier are fine. New players do have access to the nullifier. They can acquire it like anyone else. I am practical. I said before that is uproar is over a bug. You want to introduce a new mechanic to something…
  • While the idea of allowing a person to "opt-out" client side may seem like a good idea on paper, in practice it would proabably end up causing more problems than it solves. This whole uproar is caused by a bug. What makes you think that any such fix will be bug free? What happens when this fix ends up crashing clients…
  • Wow. If you don't play the way I want you to then you are a horrible person. You are wrong because you are trying to force others to play they way you want them to. You can marinade yourself in immersion however you like, but leave the rest of us out. We can play our character however we like thanks. Just because something…
  • Hippo spray. Disabling it would probably make for an unhappy hippo, and that would be bad.
  • So very wrong. Try to remember that the KDF is not made up of only dour Klingons. My gorn Dahar Master carries 100+ of the party amplifiers on him. He also has the Risian Doff that gives people the buff from the party amp. He has unlocked the fan dance, the samba and advanced samba, and is waiting to discover new dances.…
  • huh? Last I checked, the party amplifiers did not stop you from dancing. They make you dance (unless you have a nullifier on you). I doubt there is some malicious conspiracy by your nemesis fleet to prevent you from .....uh...doing whatever you mentioned. I would bet the people doing this are doing it because of "hey this…
  • To leave that channel you need to log into Champions Online, and remove it there. It's the only way that I have found that works. If you don't have Champions Online, then you will need to install it, and open the client...once you are in the game, go ahead and leave the channel normally through the chat channel options.
  • Upside: Think of the electricity savings... Downside: Using the the "facilities" might require a nullifier.
  • I would think that the amount of people not logging in due to this is insignificant, and doesn't even show up on their metrics. The CC event is still going on, and people are logging in, at least to do that. The only thing that people really need at the starbases is the security officer, all else can be had elsewhere. I…
  • Ok, this was good. War won. Forget messing around with time. I have a new sig now to commemorate this.
  • I think the never ending disco party is pretty cool. I happen to like it that other people dropped the latinum so I can party everywhere. :D My computer isn't terribly cutting edge, but can render the party just fine. While this bug should be looked at, let's leave the party amps alone.
  • Meh. All things in moderation. Since it's a bug that is apparently being exploited, it should be fixed. However let's not jump on the "OMGNERFDISCOBALLSNOW" bandwagon. The items fine as it is, minus the exploit. Quit trying to take away things that other people enjoy. It's an amusing bug to me. There are many other bugs…
