Well I already put together some fleet unis KDF side and Archie did a logo for the fleet as well. We never really talked about doing a contest for them beyond the day the KDF fleet was founded.
Of course both the Uniforms and Logos can be replaced with contest winners if we want to do that.
We also have to decide if we are going to do anything special with the Fleet ranks or just leave them as is.
I've been meaning to post some of my own ideas for fleet ranks but haven't gotten around to it yet. I like the idea of specific ranks for different interests, but felt the suggestions so far were getting too specific. I haven't met anyone who only plays STF's or PVP. I know there are some who want serious titles, but for me AFCTF was born out of this forum and should therefore not be too serious. There are plenty of serious fleets out there. Why be another grain of sand on a bland beach? So here's my suggestions.
1 Bacon Bits (Bacon being a featured food on the forums, and while calling recruits "bits" could be construed as insulting, I think those bits are just plain savoury. ) Obviously the least amount of permissions available at this rank.
2 Members (Serious title once you've earned your trust.)
Then the next four ranks would be the senior officer level permissions. Three deal with the characters type and one is more specific to preferences.
3 Tactical Officer (This is where our mission specialists would likely be.)
4 Engineering Officer. (For crafters with an Engineering toon, and mission designers.)
5 Science Officer (Crafters with a sci toon and or mission designers.)
6 Diplomats (For people who don't enjoy the combat as much. Also for RPG'ers)
7 Then of course the leaders. I'd be happy with "Lords of Bacon", "Those Responsible" or something more serious. The leaders themselves can think about the rank title here.
Looks like I'll need an invite to the new crib, but before I leave... Permission to set the fleet message to something so that any returning members know what's going on? Maybe something like:
"Due to our current fleet leader being MIA, We have reformed a new fleet with the same name and abandoning this one. Please contact @Captain_Zero, @Corban_Lewis, @MGDawson, or any of the others for an invite. You can also check the Ten Forward Forum and chat channel to ask what's up."

We have abandoned you! If you want to know why, you have to come crawling to us in the new fleet, beg our forgiveness, and then maybe... just maybe we'll tell you why! But... probably not, purely for our enjoyment.
So I've gone into the bank tabs and sorted things.
I've split the tabs up into MK levels. There are two MK levels per tab in correspondence to what each rank can use (I and II for ensign/Lt, III and IV for Lt. Com., etc). I also bought tab number six because I needed the space to organize things the way I wanted.
We have a tremendous lack of mid-range MK gear. That is to say not much in the way of MK III to MK VIII items. We need gear of these levels more than Lieutenant and Admiral gear in order to provide for members of those mid-range ranks.
If you have exploration or PVP badges from these ranges that you don't plan on using for your own items you could help the fleet by purchasing items to donate with those badges. Key word being donate. I'm not saying everyone or anyone for that matter has to do it. Just a suggestion to help fill in that gap.
I've set preliminary bank permissions and withdraw limits on the tabs for now while the details of the fleet ranks are being discussed.
Rank 1 has a limit of 1 item withdraw per day. 0 EC withdraw per day.
Rank 2 has a limit of 3 item withdraws per day. 0 EC withdraw per day.
Rank 3 has a limit of 5 item withdraws per day. 0 EC withdraw per day.
Rank 4 has a Limit of 10 item withdraws per day. 0 EC withdraw per day.

No rush on this since we have all the space we need for now, but if you can spare some EC to go towards those other tabs it would be appreciated.
I was just playing around with the uniform options to see what I could come up with. So far, this was something I didn't mind. Although there is no contest decided upon as of yet, I just thought I'd get a little feedback.
Ok, I updated the Fleet Description to what I posted previously. It was too many characters for the Message of the Day, so it now reads: "We are reforming this fleet since the only Admin is MIA. Ask @Captain_Zero, @Corban_Lewis, @MGDawson for invite to the new fleet"
I have quite a few Exploration and PvP badges. For now, the highest rank I can donate is Mk. V-VI gear, with the odd Mk. VII item thrown in. When I log back in, I'll cash in my badges, leave the old fleet, and, once someone invites me to the new one, I'll donate some items.
Thanks to generous donations by Cappy, Krent, and JC we now have all eight bank tabs.
Tab 7: New Gear Donations- As the name suggests all members should put new gear donations here where I can sort them out. I'll decide if they get sold to be added to the fleet EC total or if they'll go in their respective tabs.
