SOME PvE story content for the Klingons (like what was hinted at) wouldnt entirely deflect from the PVP focused faction. Wasnt the fact that there was Klingon PvE in this patch hyped up? Then it comes out to being Exploration missions etc?
I could have done without the Lifer neato bar thing if that meant they worked on Klingon storyline content instead.
I dont have a EPS console, I think my Engineering slot has a Shield buff console. EPS is really good?

Thanks I'll have to try that, but I cant do +2 and up missions, my max is +1 so even if I get missions that are much higher level, i have to grind anyway to be able to handle them. Im in a Squishy Escort afterall.
I have to try that map change trick though, I really dont care about making the game easier for myself as other people do, i say bring on the easy.
If you're trying to do even level or plus 1 missions that may be why you're running out. From what I remember around the com level there don't seem to be enough story missions to get you through those ranks at an equivalent character level. There were several times I did +3 level missions and it wasn't too bad although I was in a cruiser.
Season One is a good update/patch. Mostly bug fixes and some content as it should b for the first big patch of a newly launched mmo. If the game bores you, they haven't totally rewritten and recoded it. It's star trek online, which I happen to enjoy. You have a lifetime membership and an up to date patched client. We can't tell you if you'll like it.
Season 1 is only for power gamers and speed levelers. Doesnt really affect the rest of us. Though STFs dont interest me either, I could care less about Raids and Fleet Actions, I'd prefer more epic episodes.
Got news for you, it doesn't take a "power gamer/speed leveler" to be RA5 in a couple of weeks. It takes less skill/patience than leveling even in WoW.
You say this, but then why are there so many RA's? This is not the type of game to keep 'hardcore power gamers' interested very long, yet there are more and more RA's. You see them in every sector, and not just one or 2, but many.
I know its anecdotal at best, but look at it objectively, somewhere, deep down in your gut, you know in your heart of hearts the game is pretty short by most standards.

actually I'm 42 and am not an accomplished typist, so i tend to ignore caps and punctuation in forum posts as they require extra keystrokes and only morons who cant back up their own opinions care about it.

No... I'm simply predicting the future based on one piece of information like he did. As far as STO goes, this is the most boring new MMO that I've played and a long time. The developers decided to focus on TRIBBLE like cheesy new uniforms, tribbles, and other needless things... but at least a couple did add some new content to try and stop the hemorrhaging loss of subscribers from this stale game. I don't pretend to know what Craptic had planned based on one update though, like the person I was replying to seems to. I was just pointing out the stupidity. If it was insulting, well too bad.

i think season 1 was a great patch, but not the patch to bring people back. i think the july or november update is the ones that most of the m are looking for.
So, I'm curious, how did the 45/52 day patch turn out which was presumably Season 1. What's your feedback?

It is not much more then before... they added a few small things which make the game feel better but they dont make up for the missing feeling of *needing to play to advance*
I have fun playing, i dont rush and it is nice to see that Cryptic add's stuf all the time but the major points like missing Crafting, missing PvP (what is in now is Team Deathmatch, not what i consider PvP and other games that were no MMO's did TDM better 100 times allready)... no user created Holodeck-Missions or Interriors... it does not add a new Singleplayer Campaign for Klingons, no new Episode Missions for Fed's etc.
What is in Season 1 is fine if you liked it before but it is nothing to bring bored players back to the game.
Considering that the game is out only 2 Month's it is plenty what was in there though.
The STF's entertain people for maybe a Week or Two but then they get bored again.
The Game needs things like Open PVP and User created (Holodeck) content to provide UNLIMITED things to entertain that dont get Repetitive like the Genesis Missions or need Cryptic to work 24/7 on it.
Crafting would be a fine thing to do... but why need crafting if all there is is more blue rare stuff which you allready get easy enough. This is no Item hunting game like Diablo or WoW.
I am fine with Season 1 as it is and i rather see Cryptic take it's time to make some of the big things right instead of pushing something *good enough* out there just so it is there to play.

Yes i like infected now, i just need to find a fleet that can do it reliably. Since i beat cure first day with a pug, its also pretty reasonable.
So yes right now im here to stay. I like the whole cannon changes.
