Character: Brinok
While doing Defense of Starbase One on my Cardassian character, I noticed that the visual FX of the Spiral Wave Disruptor Beam Arrays equipped on his Keldon were not showing while they were being fired. This seems to specifically affect the Beam Arrays, as I could still see the beams from the Dual Beam Bank when it was fired, and only seems to apply to the Beam Arrays when they are being fired normally: Using firing modes like Overload and FAW will show visual FX.

Stuff like that rarely gets official mention, eventually it gets fixed in a regular patch, (usually still without any mention of it, even in the patch notes).
Issues like these I'm assuming get tagged as "low priority" when it comes to bug fixing, which is somewhat frustrating considering there seems to be a lot of similar bugs in play right now.

Whenever I use spiral wave disruptors on my Keldon T6 the basic attack animation simply doesn't exist. I can see the damage they are causing but no beam from my ship to the enemy.
If i use Fire at Will the animation of the beams works but NOT the regular basic attack so I don't think its a FPS issue my end since Fire at Will causes more beams to be fired. Furthermore I have swapped them out for phasers and plasma etc which work perfectly. Unfortunately just not the spiral wave disruptors.
I logged a ticket and I was informed others have experienced the same issue - I wanted to see if any of you have found a cure?

For me, this is really sad because I have now two characters that I haven't used for 4 weeks. It makes no fun to play with them in space.
Seems to me that weapon VFX have been malfunctioning a fair bit in the last 4-5 months, and they still are.

Please be patient as there is a LOT of things going on behind the scenes right now at Cryptic.

Cannons and turrets from what I can tell seem okay. I need to further observe the Yukawa Frigates though.
Overall, however, the issues seem isolated only to audio and visual, and no actual gameplay directly affected.
Update Edit: Confirmed, Yukawa Frigates' Spiral Wave Disruptor Visual FX are also missing. Although cannons and turrets are visual. Although, I'm not sure if Spiral Wave Disruptor cannons and turrets should or should not have regular Disruptor audio, but they do seem to have regular Disruptor audio FX.
"I can confirm this as well. Not only that, but it seems, for visuals at least, only the Spiral Wave Disruptor Beam Arrays are affected, and only partially. They do become visible for me when firing Beam: Overload (not yet tested with Beam: Fire at Will). In addition, the Spiral Wave Disruptor Dual Beam Bank, while having consistently visible visual FX, only one beam shows, instead of two, and, it has incorrect audio FX; regular disruptor audio, instead of Spiral Wave disruptor.

I am having the same issue now with the sprial beam arrays. No visuals unless I activate Fire-at-Will. They don't show with Surgical Strikes either.
Hope they fix it soon. A disappointment to not be able to see them after purchasing and upgrading them.
