Couple things I'd like to see put into game is ui addion for traits (ground/space/ship), have options that lets you see any unlearned traits in each catagory with where/how to get it (if unlearned), such as lockbox, R&D, mission reward, ship mastery (and what ship<s> it is on).
Other thing I'd like to see is have maxed ship masteries be account wide, with restriction that to get the ship trait(s) on a alt, you have to first aquire/claim that ship on that alt char. As it stands right now there is just way too many t6 ships to try to grind on more then 1 char. Even if you only grind out primary ship traits on a alt, if you have many many alts (or a major case of alt-tietus [those with 40-64 alts], lol). Reason I say first must aquire ship on alt to fully gain it's mastery and learn trait, is to keep the lockbox/R&D promo ships from becoming reduntaint. Such as the case with such ships that only value is the ship trait and/or console.

maybe fine if you only got a few alts and only planning on grinding out a few ships on each, but think of how many t6 ships (or even just 7 ships per char) there is, then multiply that by 60.
I really don't think such a change is necessary. It'd sure be useful, but not exactly necessary.
Mastery Level 6 is already account wide and Level 5 traits can be unlocked within 20-30 minutes with 2 or 3 patrols. This time decreases if you do those patrols on Advanced/Elite difficulty. But to have these trait be instantly available to all my characters effectively negates any time I need to spend actually playing them.
Now, if there was a way to unlock those Level 5 traits account wide by actually earning them...
or
Unlock the Mastery Level 5 Trait at an Expertise cost equivalent to the XP needed to unlock it the regular way.
On a side note: Doing the patrol "Wanted" on Elite you get more than enough experience points to level your ship mastery. On advance, you have to do it twice.
Let's hope the new owner also comes to the conclusion, that this is a massive pile of BS and needs to stop one way or another.
Either make it possible to unlock single character ships for the entire account (for free, for a token, for zen, i don't care, just make it happen) OR you, god damnit, find a way for it to work in the existing situation.
For people with just two characters, 50% of time is wasted for unlocking traits. You have more characters - more % of your time gets wasted for these unlocks.
And for the wiseguys with useless comments ala "why do you have so many characters anyway?" This game is clearly made for multiple characters, otherwise there wouldn't be over 50 character slots.
So yeah, it would be damn nice to have starship traits unlocked for the whole account, after unlocking them on a single character. Just, i don't know, make the XP requirement x10, if you realy wish to waste our time, but not by mindless shipsetup->wanted argala->shipdelete.
Technically (iirc), that tab was meant only for the sixth level stuff that only a few premium ships have so far. The devs were talking in one of the old Ten Forwards about working on a system to make setting up a new ship more automatic which would mostly solve the problem, but there has been no sign of progress on that so far.
Either solution would be nice though, especially for theme-based characters where the needed trait comes on a ship that goes against the theme so the less time spent fooling around with it to get the trait the better.

Any Trait you unlocked that was unobtainable on other Faction ships, would appear there but only for captains of the opposite faction.
e.g. If your Starfleet captain unlocked "Desperate Repairs", then your KDF and KDF-Aligned characters could claim it from the Dilithium Store reclaim - and may still be able to do so.
However, your Starfleet characters would still have to unlock it by levelling the Ship Mastery.
Not every ship trait could be unlocked in this way.
The Mat'Ha Raptor has the trait "Overwhelming Force" which wouldn't appear in the Dilithium Reclaim and had to be obtained by Starship Trait Unlock boxes - and these had to be obtained for each individual character you wanted the trait on.
Thankfully, the Cross-Faction Flying makes obtaining these traits easier.
With how quickly you can level a geared ship I don't really feel that is necessary. If you know how to quickly level ships, you can easily zero in on your preferred Ship Traits rather than swim through a massive list if you have a LOT of ships.
InferiorityC never said that. But he does agree with you - getting a ship to Mastery Level 5 is something that can be done quite quickly.
It takes all of 2-3 minutes to fully level a T5 mastery, so I doubt that.
She seems to be doing alright so far. Although my computer had to turn around and scare the shtako out of me this morning.
Anyways... all is good right now. Hera (Goddess of the UnderCouch) seems to be doing alright, the old 1060 is still alive in my box... we good.
Of if you're pallin' around on normal, on average, depending on your DPS, one Rescue and Search and one Argala.
