I just finished watching Lower Decks and I enjoyed it. Though I can't take the Pakled as a threat, their ships look super bad TRIBBLE. I wouldn't mind seeing them released in a future lockbox.

Pretty sure that's the joke with the Pakleds. But that is also one of their "strengths". Everyone underestimates them because they come across as stupid.
Just look at the TNG episode where they were introduced. They set a trap, and Enterprise fell for it.
To the casual observer, the Pakleds appeared to be intellectually challenged, especially in their verbal skills. However, despite the apparent lack of intellect, they proved to be far more cunning than they appeared, and used their innocuous appearance to deceive other races.
The Pakleds are basically a race of thieves who want instant gratification rather than develop things on their own. And they are fully aware of how they come across to outsiders and take advantage of that.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Well it helps that the Pakled lack on intellect isn't 100% fake either but they're something of a race of Idiot savants, above average on some aspects (they have to be to get those frankenships of theirs to work at all) but below average on others and consistently so (meaning they stop acting "dumb" if they think they're not being watched, since it's not an act).
The Threat of the Pakleds comes from people under estimating them and assuming because they're clearly and obviously below average intellect on some aspect they're that in all, even though Pakled have shown themselves to be good at engineering (at least when it comes to adapting things they've stolen or bought to work in their own ships) and at least semi-decent in tactics and strategy.

They're absolutely awful at espionage, though - as well as differentiating between a toilet and an airlock.
"He just took a picture of the floor..." Comment made by Fed escorting the Pakled spy, in a universe full of 3-D scanners capable seeing through walls... Also, Pakled skipped out on the one watching him to find the bathroom, supposedly, and totally not scanning whatever throughout the entire ship, un-tracked. I think the Pakleds have bigger hats than you're giving them credit for.

maybe it was smart spy or may he was just that stupid, that's what makes the Pakleds so dangerous you can't be sure, so it's not a case of everyone grabbing the idiot ball (or this case racism ball) and thinking all Pakleds are stupid and letting them do what they want but rather majority of Pakleds are just as stupid as they seem in many things but you can never be 100% if that Pakled is as stupid as they seem or smarter and playing to the stereotype.
Maybe they can release a lockbox called "We are strong".

For some reason though, Cryptic is still reluctant to add animated content. With prodigy it's a rights issue but TAS and LD has a hard time creeping into the game aside from the promotional DOFFs. I don't know why they think everything from those shows also has to look like it's lifted from the cartoon instead of simply integrating it into the (already cartoonish!) game visuals.

People think that because according to random comments from the devs CBS apparently wants any LD content in the game to look just like it does in the cartoon, which does not go well with the style of the game at all. Another factor is that they apparently don't get any advanced information from the cartoon division so they have to wait and see what the various LD ships do along with everyone else and then it takes a while to work out how to represent those abilities ingame.
The dev's reluctance to add TAS content is probably just more of their reluctance to add TOS content since TAS is TOS with some of the restrictions of live action SFX lifted. Even then, they added Caitians which is one of the few they could do for character mesh and rigging reasons.
They could have put in some of the TAS-unique ships (and the Aquashuttle for Feds) along with the Klolode-class D7 with its deflector/torpedo tube pushed forward (supposedly to make room for things like the stasis device) that was also unique to TAS, but they didn't (and in fact didn't even get around to putting the TOS D7 into the game until just recently).

Actually I'm pretty sure we had a TOS D7, it was just a retextured TMP D7 for the longest time. Right color, but more detailed and had a rear torpedo launcher. I think they did something back with AoY to make it more screen accurate since that was a TOS themed expansion, but I also wanna say they pulled out all the stops for screen accuracy with the Legendary D7.

Star Trek Fleet Command made a Pakled mining ship, the Amalgum, why not here?
Would have to either be the ship we saw in Lower Decks or a Cryptic Original. If that Fleet Command ship was an in house design, STO can't touch it for legal reasons.

Instead of irredeemable space garbage, they're cunning and deceptive.

The Orks have an innate technological affinity that means they can throw together any old trash and it'll just work.
Plus they nearly always have a massive numerical advantage.
The Pakled don't have either, so could we agree on smarter than they let on perhaps?

Not arguing against it at all. I just don't know if the one you mentioned was a canon design or Fleet Command's in house design.

I know the Chodak from the SNES game, which I think A Final Unity is a sequel to.
