It's really tiresome to buy the same ship over and over and over again just because Cryptic thinks those ships are a never ending cash cow. I don't care what traits and consoles you put in this ship - It's a hard pass for me...

I don’t know. I don’t have enough interest in this snooze hour to comment. Mirror Janeway? The episode was good but Cryptic is totally on autopilot to maintenance mode…5 years of overpriced junk that we already have…
I liked the mirror Yorktown variant from the new episode, but the rest doesn't really interest me that much.
I forgot about the Styx, but there's also the Mirror Engle. The Crossfield seems least likely since the appearance, trait, console, and Experimental Weapon were all included with the Legendary. The Mirror Connie would be the most popular with the space barbie crowd I think, the Mirror Engle would be most popular with players who like carriers, and I have no idea how popular the Styx would be. My guess is the Engle, though it could really be any of them.
I'm totally sure is the mirror Engle, a new mirror 7a skin was made for it..
I'm aware of that as well, but discussing things that haven't been officially revealed is technically against the rules here, so I'm not mentioning that yet. In the lead up to the 10th Anniversary Bundle I had a LOT of my posts get deleted, including some that were simply guesses that turned out to be right, and I'm trying to avoid that happening again.

And it would make it more palatable if they charged less for fewer ships, don’t you think?
Especially if the package is (presumably mostly) reskinned version of the same ships in the 10th anniversary pack. How can they sell the two packs at the same time and claim they are of equal value?
I guess there are enough people who will buy it, but It doesn’t make sense to me though. I agree though that I am not their target customer. So my opinion is of no value to them.
Yeah, but at one time 8 or 9 ship bundles were a pretty common thing. Oh sure, they were usually just variations of the same ship in terms of stats, but the models were all different and each faction got three. And then the Temporal Bundle which had 4 TOS ships and 4 26th century ships.
Now we are seeing bundles that are basically just existing ship models (if retextured/tweaked)
By doing the same thing they did last year: stuffing it full of unwanted junk until the math adds up to the price they want to charge.
I'm HOPING it's tactical heavy so that I can get an appropriate ship to use the Warship Voyager skin on, either Science Destroyer or just a full blown escort. We'll probably know tomorrow though.
If that's the case, will Superior Area Denial be account unlocked with the bundle instead of char unlocked?

If the Mirror Engle is in the bundle then yes, it would be, though you'd have to claim the ship and manually grind it out on any character you want to use it on.

The only thing of interest to me I don't really care much for ships.

That has been the tradition so far correct.
Slightly altered ship statistics (sometimes not for the better even for a Legendary). Sometimes a new console to accompany previous version's consoles. A new trait & new paint job. "Exclusive" cosmetics appeal to some, but I don't see much value in them. I won't shut my wallet yet, but I'm doubtful there'll be enough to intrigue me. Hope I'm wrong.
The current precedent is that Legendary and Promo / Lockbox ships can not be purchased separately, while normal T6s can (most recent example is the 9th Anniversary Discovery Operations bundle). This does not appear to be a Legendary bundle, so if they stick to established precedent then the 4 new ships should be available separately, with the Lockbox ship and uniform being bundle exclusive.

Still it would be nice if you could buy this years bundle in 2 Packs, or a Starter Pack of 2; yet don't know they will offer to change it.

Precedent, pattern, both work just fine in this context, I wasn't trying to correct your grammar or anything like that

The “math” only adds up if you accept that the filler has value. As I said— at least for me, I do not believe it has any value.
In my case I do not know what I would do with five mirror universe ships. So this type of package would not be of interest to me. But those who use multiple ships per character or have multiple mirror themed characters it may be a good fit.
It all comes down to if you like it, have the need, have the money, and will enjoy it, buy it. If not, do not. If It is not something you need to play STO or be competitive, it is a pure luxury expense. It is like buying a piece of chocolate cake after dinner.
