So according to Reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/m2ewdc/flash_news_from_the_stream_ec_henry_is_working_on/
Youtuber EC Henry, who has modeled several ships for STO already, is working on a T6 Steamrunner.
Here is an early image at the model
This is one more of the now 35 or so ships lacking a T6 version to get one in recent years.

Hallowed are the Ori
While I don't think the base model will change that much, the details can change the look of the model quite a lot. For example is it mostly smooth with only the bare minimum of surface details or will it look like the some got crazy with greeblies.
A little sad they didn't do a TOS skin for it to help it stand out from the Alita and, visually, the Earhart. (I seem to recall mention that they're wanting to do another Temporal Recruit rerun sometime this year.) That said, it does look nice.
As a side comment on missing T6's: I'd love to see them do a T6 MW Dyson SciDestroyer Bundle at some point(like the Carrier one we got last year). Only a single ship per faction(MW to let you decide your own lean for it), but include a JHV version - they could use a proper Sci ship with a Secondary Deflector.
On the other hand, the Steamrunner is a canon design. *shrug*

Also, please don't be a promo ship. Please.
I think the only example outside the TOS ships might be the Inquiry, as its a member of the Avenger line. But other than that... there is no precident for it at all. The Inquiry was probably stuck in the promo box by decree of CBS. A T6 Steamrunner will most likely be C-Store.
Just because we know a T6 Steamrunner is being worked on doesn't mean they aren't working on a T6 Nova as well. Honestly this is the first time I can think of where we KNOW something is being worked on for sure, that wasn't a "design the next X" vote, along with at least a ballpark idea of a release date. For all we know, the guy designing the T6 Steamrunner might also be working on a T6 Nova and we just don't know about it. *shrug*
We're not privy to what's on the design board. The fact we know about the Steamrunner is a miracle at all. Normally we wouldn't know squat until MUCH closer to release.

At this time we have no idea if that is actually the case, the Steamrunner is coming late this year and there will certainly be other C-Store ships before then.
What's absurd is that the Steamrunner was added to the game relatively recently (late 2016) as a T5 ship when everyone was using T6 ships
Anyway, I really hope the T6 version is a warship

I just hope she gets command so it can be a potent torp boat but apart from that I am just glad to see it Loved using it after i got the Steam starter Pack and still use her today at times.
As for those wanting other ships I do hope they add others but if this is slated for a end of year release surely there has to be stuff before then.
No one remembers the Hegh'ta Bird of Prey. Never had a C-Store version, never had a fleet version, can't even upgrade to tier 5-u.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

It does look like it would make a good warship type.
The official description was that it was a "heavy frigate" and while it is listed as having phasers and photons like every other Federation ship except the original Oberth (which was phasers only) the Steamrunner is the only ship class in the battle of Sector 001 to never fire any kind of torpedo. In fact, I don't recall them firing torpedoes in any of the battles they were shown in.
In addition to that its phasers were a bit odd looking, slightly darker and instead of the usual orange with bright yellowish-white center it had less of a core and a faint but noticeable pinkish undertone so it may be some sort of heavy gunship using a new phaser variant (the color would make a good "polarized phaser" so phaser could have a power drain version if the devs want, maybe Starfleet was trying that as part of the Dominion war effort).
It was also fast and highly maneuverable, slightly smaller than and turning noticeably faster than a Norway medium cruiser which would probably put it at around the equivalent of a Klingon raptor, which also fits well with the warship idea.
True, i got the pack that way, because i love the Steamrunner... i think it was released in 2012
Did you post your synopsis of the Live Stream some place? I actually look forward to reading your breakdowns... I'm always in class when they broadcast...
And thanks in advance!

Out of your list there I'd pick: the Hirogen ships just for the sake of completionism (if a word) & continuity of the process.
I did witnessing a player sporting an Obelisk during a "Breach" run earlier today, still a cool unique ship imo.
A favorite of mine is that Nihydron so fingers crossed, but let's face it won't probably happen.
I think it'd be good for an updated D'Kyr but if Cryptic was going to do that then add-in another 2 Vulcan ships for a bundle.
Another favorite of mine is that Ha'feh, I know it's a simpler design, & I think that's why I like it.
I think other than adding brand new ships perhaps just add more ship-skin options whether it be permanent holograms or actual ship-skins, but I understand Cryptic doesn't want to dilute the desire to buy brand new ships.
I figure either way there won't be a silver bullet that will win the day but a multi-pronged approach required.
I agree with you, after many of them have explained the required work effort for such a process I'd think it'd be better to take the full step forward & completely do it than a half a step approach like they did. But who knows? I don't.
