We used to be able to count on 3 packs and 9 packs of ships with FED/KDF/ROM variants but those days are long gone with the ability for all factions to fly virtually any ship. Going forward, it's clear that we'll get Federation ships continuously no matter what. Sometimes we'll also get a Klingon ship as well. Sometimes a Romulan ship. Sometimes a Jem'Hadar ship but the only ones that will be 99% consistently released that will always have a faction appropriate variant will be Federation ships.
I don't know... they have been pretty good with designing faction equivelents, with only a few outliers. They've even gone back and made Romulan and Dominion versions of the Recon Destroyers after the Fed and Klingon ones were released.
And with the ship walls down, it is easier to design non Federation ships, especially if the idea in mind themeatically fits Klingon, Romulan, or Dominion more than Federation. While Federation is the largest population in game, and thus the biggest draw for income, they now have more freedom to design non Fed ships because it will be available to all.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

In total, something like 74% of all T6 ships ever released have been done as factional equivalents
Those numbers are probably even higher for C-Store ships, not counting Legendaries right now the only Federation C-Store T6s I can think of that don't have cross faction variants are the Luna and some of the Delta and AoY bundle ships.

Of the 135 unique T6 C-store ships regularly available (on Console), 52 are Fed, 38 are KDF, 32 are Rom, 7 are Dom, and 6 are cross faction (26th century and Cardy ships). This is not including anything from Mudd's or any Legendaries. This means that 38.5% of C-store ships are Fed, while the next closest faction is KDF with 28.1% of the ships. So there are about 37% more Fed ships there are KDF ships. The numbers a slightly worse when comparing to Rom ships.

Completely agree with everything. We're not going to see anything that's non-Fed except the occasional Alliance ship and the even more occasional KDF/Rom/Jem'Hadar ship plus the usual "no-faction" ships such as the Winter and Summer ones.
And claims of "with the ship walls down, it is easier to design non Federation ships" are not only senseless, they're also insulting because they imply that now that Federation players can use ships of the other factions, **suddenly**, it's worth to make them.

I think we'll continue to see many more Federation ships than the other factions because that is Cryptic's self-serving ouroboros rhetoric & let's face it the Federation is the top perspective.
Any factional packs, & I hope Cryptic makes some more, I think will be of 4 versions either exactly the same stat-wise (lazy) or slightly different in stats for counter-balancing different abilities for: Federation, KDF, Roms, & JH.

I think they're gonna move away from multiple ships bundles unless they go in the Mudd's Market and make single-ship, legendary bundles such as the Mirror/Discovery/Romulan, instead.

I think they're gonna move away from multiple ships bundles
This seems unlikely based on what Kael has said, according to him individual ships don't sell as well as bundles do.

If you quote stuff, quote it right instead of cutting off the part that don't fit your narrative, whatever that may be.
As for Kael... of course he said that.
When in the last three years alone they have released only 3 ships as "original" single ships (in the respective "legendary" packs) while releasing 8 bundles (or 6, if you don't want to include the anniversary ones), it's easy to say that "single ships don't sell as well as bundles do".
Once again, they creat the problem and then turn it around to use it as justification for whatever rhetoric they're gonna push.
Not to mention that, contrary to what happens in many other games, once you buy part of a bundle you can't buy the rest unless you go for single buys.
Where they to allow us to buy one ship and then the bundle later on at a discount, things would change drastically.
They can do that, as shown by the Gamma and Discovery packs for example. They simply don't want to for whatever reason.

The reason is plain for all to see: It is so they can sucker a handful of folks into paying for the same ship twice.
The reason is plain for all to see: It is so they can sucker a handful of folks into paying for the same ship twice.
I mean, I could understand that if that was actually the case.
As it stands, it's not, because you cannot buy the bundle if you bought one of the ships individually. You try that, and the bundle will actually disappear from the Zen Store, so not only you won't be able to buy it, you won't even **see it**!
What kind of idiotic thing is that?!
Hesitant as I am to bring this up again, its difficult to forget that we were told that "The ship release schedule is put together to take the most advantage of the ships that will get the biggest section of the playerbase excited. Generally, the doesn't mean, as beloved as they are, ships that were background ships during a classic Star Trek series".
So going by that statement I guess we're supposed to blindly accept that the Steamrunner class, which is the very epitome of a "background ship", is something that will "get the biggest section of the playerbase excited"?
Am I the only one detecting strong traces of male bovine fecal matter here?!
You are not. Quite frankly, at this point, their credibility is well over six-feet-under, no matter how much some people twist and turns to try and defend them.
They even contradicts themselves, because "if you make it, they will buy it"... and yet, they don't make it and then have the absolute galls of saying "you aren't buying it".
I cannot buy something that doesn't exist. And if it doesn't exist then it cannot sell.
Again: they create the problem and then turn it around to make it seems like it's our fault and use that as their main justification.

I just realised we're replying in a thread created by someone who has all the character traits of the average politian, and one who admires the 'clever' wordplay (in this case, using 'generally' as a get-out-of-jail-free card') of his beloved leader.
I will therefore refrain from replying further.
I will follow your lead. No point in arguing anything further.
