Starting September 8th, until September 29th btw (it's near the bottom of the article).

I feel we need more device slots. What's the point of having ever more combat pets, devices, Tribbles and boosters if you can hardly use most of them?

I'm already done with campaign II. Can we save the same progress for campaign III or will this be the last one of these series and will not worth the effort for future events?

    Nope. The mega-events are self-contained.

I may already be done with the event campaign myself, but why not? Its a pretty simple and enjoyable shooting gallery.

I think the point is to choose the best devices for the situation. Me I never leave home without a full stack of Hypos, I don't bother with boosters, usually have one combat pet if I have one, and one Tribble (Crossfire or Triolic).

    Miniaturized Elachi Walker (Combat Pet)
Elachi technology is often unsettling in physical form, perhaps none moreso than the vaguely arachnoid walkers they employ. Some are large enough to threaten starships and tower above cities, others are human-sized. This model, after a fashion, is both.

Recovered from captured designs and scaled down for practicality, this approximately Gorn-sized model is the same core design as the gigantic walkers. It is a heavy assault and fire support unit, armed with the Elachi's signature crescent disruptor weapon along with a massive disruptor beam array. While the beam array lacks the precision to strike individual foes, it is powerful enough to cause a persistent cascade failure of molecular cohesion in the ground underneath its enemies

Sound like an elachi pistol mixed with the undine arm cannon.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

We didn't even get a Week off. They just had to add a Red Alert 'Event' in between to bridge the gap.

The question for the Rewards here is, are they going to muck up the Non-combat Pet Reward and not actually be Account Wide, like the Phoenix Non-combat Pet from the First Contact Day (21 Day) Event?

Also, I'm not sure they know their own Red Alerts as it is theoretically possible to also fail the Borg and Tholian Red Alerts as well.

ground combat pet... this map/que was a pretty pita event as I recall... use a carrier or ship with pet/hanger(s). a pure escorts or sci ship is pure suck for this map. also use competitive rep engines for speed boost... turrets everywhere so your not gonna use full impluse much.

Hm, I preferred my Akira for this mission.

Emergency power to engines, a quickly recharging evasive maneuvres, attack pattern omega and high engine power levels made the mission doable.

    Boring, but doable.

Cruisers aren't too bad either with FAW spam.
The only criticizm I have for this TFO is the sheer number of turrets around the map. But I guess it makes sense to defend those shipyards.
Might try my stealth bomber T'Liss at least once.

I was mildly surprised they didn't add any patrols to the completion criteria; they've been doing a better job lately in giving people more options to play. That said, I did actually enjoy this Queue. The final part can get a bit disable-spammy, but there are some interesting ways to handle each objective if you're creative.

The two tips I have for new players to the event:
Each Generator is protected by 3 relays - kill those first. (Just follow the big energy beams flowing into the generators.)
Save your cooldowns during the final battle for when the big walker spawns and burn it down asap. (The infinite adds it spawns will disappear when you kill it.)

Sci ships with a heavy EPG build can absolutely trivialize the the Generators and final battle(Delayed Overload Cascade is particularly stupid due to the sheer quantity of spawns). Gunships, on the otherhand are useful for burning down the big walker at the end before everyone gets overwhelmed. (That final battle is one of the very few fights in the game that can, eventually, overwhelm my Durgath.. due to the ever-increasing disable-spam/stunlocking.)

i mean..why? This is from what 3 or 4 months ago? They could have redone the Crystaline event, or the Mirror invasion. But they just reuse a relatively new TFO that doesn't even make sense in the current timeline......

It won't matter what they decided to use, someone is bound to complain.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

True I guess. Just confused as to why they are replaying it so soon, especially with the current story....

Well, I never worry about why they choose whatever content to do an event with. I just hop onto my two accts and the three other family accts and get it done.

Guess I'm not one to worry too much about very many things and haven't found very much to complain about. Except the visual spam during group content.

Pretty much. I for one hate the Crystaline event, and would have hated if they used it.

Well, in this case the event was already used so it is a legitimate complaint.

And as someone pointed out: storywise it makes no sense to focus on J'ula being our enemy again. Exactly the opposite has happened in the storyline.

Just because someone would find a way to complain about other things, doesn't mean that these complaints are not justified. It is a poor choice, judging by even just these two criteria.

Whats convenient? I've been complaining about how TRIBBLE CCE is for years. Its, bar none, one of the top three worst TFOs in the game IMO.

Convenient because you only have to hate a decision of theirs that they have not made.

I'm actually going to have to play this TFO this time. Last time I just did Patrols.

Their comment about Choice of Marks for this TFO for the Event being different from normal is not true. As this TFO has only ever been availible for Events, its always had Choice Marks.

Yeah I also preferred the patrols.

Not least because in most PUGs, players would just keep fighting the Lukara instead of taking out the bases. As if that helps anyone.

Will there be a NON-LOBI buyout for the campaign? I still need 1100 so it looks like I will be just short of the grand prize. Or should I just not bother. Don't really care about the Walker.

Eh.. not my favorite map.. but not the worst either. Time to break out my Andoridan Pilot 'speed-scort' so I can zip through it.

...this wasn't a favored TFO of mine -- the swarm of turrets everywhere was just bloody infuriating. I'd be less hostile if they included a greatly paired-back version of it as a patrol, but I realize the team is limited in what they can do for the foreseeable future...especially now, since it launches in a couple weeks.

    One week from now, actually.

I actually kind of like the turrets. It does make things more challenging. With a few speed boosts (emergency power to engines, attack pattern omega, increasing engine power levels, evasive manoeuvres), you can ignore them.
