Actually, they could be phasers. In TOS phasers were different colors quite often (the original TOS, not the remastered version where they made all the phasers blue), and while there wasn't an official color chart, when you tally up the colors and what they were doing with the phasers at the time statistically it comes out to blue being the disrupt/disintegrate setting, red the heat setting, and green the stun setting. And of course the TNG phasers are that yellowish orange.
They may have done that as a nod to TOS and the Vulcans could have been using heavy stun or whatever (though I doubt it). Or they could have taken the "Andorian phasers are blue, Terran phasers are red" thing further and Vulcan phasers could be green in ENT.
Also, in STO the Undine phasers are green too (and one other type, I forget which though) though obviously they were not going by that back in ENT. The point is, color is not a foolproof way to identify what energy a beam is.

undine weapons are yellow, like they were in voyager
True, I probably should have said "8472 Counter Command phasers" but I am used to just calling them Undine rep (or just Undine) phasers. Technically the yellow things the Undine mobs fire are not phasers, they are the same fluidic antiproton beams that you get on the playable Nicor or the ground weapon from "Mindscape". The Counter Command phasers are definitely green (as is their photon torpedo), I just finished a patrol with a ship armed with them.
The sound effects for all the canon ship weapons (except for TOS phasers since Cryptic already uses them) should also be brought into the game.
It would be nice, but then again they would have to decide on which era to use since they varied a bit. Also, they already do use some of them but for other weapons, like the wail of Klingon disruptors from TOS is used for the Herald weapons in game (though it is more distorted than TOS phaser sound is).
Also, it would be nice if the TOS torpedoes actually made the same sound as torpedoes in TOS (either the garage-door-spring spring "outside" sound or the flushing noise from inside) instead of using the disruptor cannon hit sound from TOS for the launching of torpedoes.

Honestly the only phaser I really want the canon sound for, is the Assault Phaser Pistol.
I pretty much consider disruptors the most common weapon in Trek. Probably just as simple as the show had the mindset of humans use phasers & aliens use disruptors.

If we go there, Breen in STO use polaron instead of disruptors. I get that they wanted to diversify weapon types for gameplay reasons, but that experiment failed because it really doesn't matter what weapon type the enemy usus as you can stack enough universal resistance. They could have used polarised disruptors at least, the old lockbox hybrid weapons should make a comeback.

I have to admit I recently leveled-up a Fed Sci toon while piloting that little T'Pau ship & I was impressed with it. I have no where near the "uber" gear like I see on Twitchers' & YouTubers' videos but for a wee ship it is tough & hilariously nimble, at least at Normal settings. It was fun to pilot, but never planned to use it permanently.
Would a 25c Vulcan ship have the single ring like the Suurok and D'kyr, or should it be like a Venn Diagram to make it a predecessor of the tri-ringed one in Daniel's database?
It may be a case of interference from CBS, it turns out that the Vorgon ships were originally supposed to be Vulcan ships but CBS said no.
I thought the Vorgon ships were`rejected designs for the 31st century future ships?

The NX Enterprise used Plasma cannons until they upgraded their weapons, as did Freighters.....and they were red. I'm pretty sure the Vulcans use Plasma weaponry too (STO aside).
Pretty much, the colouring of Beams doesn't indicate it's energy type, it's mostly incidental....and Andorian (Blue) & Nausicaan (Red) are pretty much the coolest colours in the game.

color is more likely dependent on whatever focusing agent or gas, if any (like in star wars, legends at least), is used than what type of particle makes up the weapon

One of the early TNG Borg eps mentions that phaser beam color is actually an energy frequency, kinda like the way light wavelengths work.
yeah, that too - and there's also temperature to consider; those stars aren't different colors for aesthetic reasons - they're different colors because they burn at different temperatures

This is why the remodulating phaser beam they use against the Borg has that nifty blue-orange fluorescence. I really wish they would have made that a rep weapon.

While watching ENT I noticed that Vulcan ships use Green energy beams, the only energy type that comes in that color would be disruptors, how come the Vulcans didn't use phasers on their ships?
The color of the beams didn't distinguish the weapon types in the show. And probably more than half the time the term "phaser" was used like people sometimes use the term "coke" to refer to any type of carbonated beverage or "karate" for any type of martial arts. So quite often any kind of directed energy weapon was referred to as "phasers" by the characters.
For someone like me who is detail oriented it's a bit like nails on a chalkboard but it is what it is. But in TOS, the phasers on the Enterprise were blue for at least a few episodes. From a physics perspective, factors like intensity, wavelengths, and the gases involved can change the visual aspects of beams of light for instance.
On the other hand, Romulans in the series were most often described using disruptors, not plasma beams as in this game, and since Vulcans and Romulans share a common ancestry both genetically and technologically by virtue of originating from the same planet, it wouldn't be entirely surprising for Vulcans to use disruptors as well.
So long story short, if your goal is to make your Vulcan ship fire the same color of beams as the show go with disruptors. And if it helps, there may be some canonical justification for them having disruptors.

Well Imperial Romulans still use Disruptors in game, I think giving Republic Romulans Plasma was to set them apart and since Klingons already use Disruptors.
Technically without much proof either way, we can assume Romulans adopted Distuptor use from the Klingons...in TOS we really only saw them use plasma torpedoes...but perhaps when they exchanged cloaking technology for ships they also got Disruptor weaponry in the exchange?

Shame they don't have the sound effects for TNG disruptors...they were pretty cool
I think they only called them "particle beam" weapons in dialog though I might be mistaken.

CBS disapproved of Cryptic's initial 31st Century FED designs and were eventually turned into the Vorgon ships.
