Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
- Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out - last 3 weeks before maintenance (around 1-2 hours before it) i get dced when switching toon and cant log back in, last 2 weeks it was for around 30 mins, and hey i know things happens, but 3 weeks same thing almost same time, can you check it out ?

    Getting same error. Been trying to log in for about 30-40 minutes now and can't because the STO launcher is giving me "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out"

    Same and it happens fairly often like on average twice per week or so. I am not sure what they are doing with the servers cause apart from that there is rubberbanding problems since as far ago as February. Unless they use some of the server's bandwidth for other projects or something

    It happens to me to often, i first thought it's my internet but all works here on my side:
    Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out
    Tried to log in but everytime this message

    Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out.
    Now i can play again, but i still don't know what the problem is for not getting connected to the server.
    Is there something on my side i could do to prevent this?

    This issue is ongoing. It started for me 2 days ago.
    Maybe not the same thing, the error I get when trying to sign in to Arc and load the launcher is "Login has timed out. Please check your network connection and try again"
    My network connection is fine.

    I submitted a ticket to Arc support since I can't login to Arc except here on the website. Seems odd but I can't get past the Arc login, let alone launch STO.

    I've been trying to login for the past 45 min. I'm getting the same error as the rest. Can log into the website with no issues. Perhaps the patch messed up something with the login servers. I hope they fix it soon.

    I logged in after the patch when I got home from work. Idled out then couldn't get back in. I don't think it's a client side patch that's caused it

    Having the same issues, Twitter shows nothing. So I think they crashed due to Las Vegas and they have no one watching the hamster on the wheel tonight.

    I still can't log in either. Been trying since 6:45 Eastern time. Having same issue that the ARC browser will not even connect.

    If this goes on all day I hope they extend the summer event by a day to compensate. I only have a little bit of free time after work and then off to bed.

    Er, Ya, same problem. Been at Doctor all day so just got home, checked the forums, then tried to log in and I keep getting This Time out message. Glad to know they are aware of it.

    I am having the same issues with Arc launcher ... I finally got in through STO direct launcher. Hope this helps

    Finally got an update on the launcher after 6 HOURS that they "are aware of the issues and are investigating." Guess the hamster died... again...
    How many have they gone through all these years now?

    The issue has been fixed for me at least. I am able to login now! Thanks to those who corrected the problem!

    I just started to get this problem now but another account I have logs in fine.
