That the summer event is coming at an as yet unannounced date though within a timeframe circumscribed within "Soon." It's when you get subjective that you can take offense at not being given a more direct and personalized answer.
Love how they post teasers, they then quote themselves, "we don't talk about upcoming content", then when they do talk about upcoming content it gets to be a one-sided conversation without player-based input nor properly clear up what their upcoming content is before posting a blog on the issue.
Guys, the reason why devs don't talk about upcoming content freely is that development is not a certain process (as with all complex projects.) That includes even the most general details about what's coming and when (see. ViL's cut progression system, the latinum store update). Cryptic does not want to disappoint people by announcing content early only to change plans unexpectedly, push dates, or cut content entirely as development proceeds, plans are realized, and projects either meet target or don't. We have been through a couple demonstrations very recently of how pre-emptive information can upset the community and cause greater angst than a minor delay. See. Cardassian uniforms, when those will be coming, and T5-U tokens at level 61. What remains that they can talk about are details so firmly set (by nature of the project or by being done) that only a total catastrophe would change things (ex. plot, character, setting.)
Now of course you may ask "well, what about the Summer event precludes a more specific answer to our questions than 'soon?'" But that requires talking about what they can't talk about. So what do we do? Nothing. If this is becoming an issue for anyone then I would seriously recommend finding something else to occupy yourself for the while (and stop focusing on not being given the answer you'd like, or at the very least from whom you'd like it.) Start a new character, work on one you've set aside, try out the Foundry, dig into community podcasts; anything would be more constructive than trying to argue Cryptic's PR strategy on the basis of denial-ergo-frustration.
The summer event is coming soon and it'll be officially announced when Cryptic's ready to do so (ie. ~1 week before "soon") to ensure that the maximum benefit can be had (information distribution, cultivation of excitement), as optimized against the minimization of risk (ie. "pulling a Peter Molyneaux.") That's basic to effective video game PR.

Actually, I am hoping the event ship is a Vorgon cruiser. I would like to make a decent tetryon beam build out of it. I also hope the summer event starts before mid July. A summer event that runs into September would seem kind of silly. In my neighborhood, summer unofficially starts on Memorial day. That's when all the summer seasonal things start. But, that's a moot point, given that summer officially started yesterday. It would be nice if the devs at least put the date on the in game calendar, as they have done in previous years.
I have a fedsci who uses tetryon and while I like the tetryon bonus from the current vorgon set I don't use eng or tac ships on that fedsci, and I am hoping to get the Vorgon Cruiser with the expectation that it will be a sci ship.

I'm guessing you're a much better player than me. I don't do well with escorts. I'm learning sci ships, but cruisers are my thing. The Ryn'kodan doesn't work so well for me. It's the lack of turn rate and lack of firepower (six weapons). Still, I'd be interested in hearing about what you put on your tetryon builds.

First I would like to commend the graphical artists that made the Jem'Hadar skin material. It looks awesome. Totally rocking the crocodile pattern. But how come there are no shirtless options on Risa? I can't find any. And how come the legs and arms vanishes on some options?
This needs to be fixed. Hopefully before the start of the summer event.

Eh, I'm an average player and I don't shoot for the high deeps. Most of my toons stay around the 10k range, but that's enough to do what I want to do. I usually clear out the Rom patrols in under five minutes each (with the exception of maybe Beta Lankal and Galorndon Core. I don't even have all his gear maxed.

I recognize the Crystaline console that boosts antiproton. I'm sure if I looked up what else it does, I could figure out what it does for your build. Only through what's available at the summer store if you have that unlocked from last year. When you're looking at the tailor the only item previews you'll have are for the c-store (not lobi, fleet, reputation, event gear, or mission reward items. )
