I was hoping this week would be when it starts, but alas.
Someone mentioned that we'll get an announcement at least a week before it starts, which means since it hasn't been mentioned this week most likely it won't happen next week either. Hopefully we hear something by next Tuesday or Thursday of next week, but if we don't that could mean even another week with without.
I am surprised at how little people have objected to this delay. Seems quite odd considering how many people show up every year, some even rearranging their work vacation time to fit with summer event.
You can get every accolade that doesn't require one of the activities specific to the event itself. Everything but Samba! and Samba Master for the Dance Party, Ripper for the powerboard race, In A Geological Sense from the scavenger hunt, and all of the sand castle and biathlon accolades. You can become a Master Relaxer at any time of year, apparently. I was a bit surprised to find that I could even hunt for Pavyl on my Jem'Hadar.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
You know what I want from a new event ship (aside from reruns, because exclusivity is bad and alienating for players and I hate it)? Actual faction starships.
I'm talking about the Dyson Science ships or Flagships, given away in events but they're still starships we would reasonably be able to fly. I like all the exotic options we have to choose from, but I also like seeing what the devs can do with the restrictions of "normal Starfleet/KDF ship". They wouldn't have to make more than the KDF and Starfleet variants because the Jem'Hadar and Romulans are able to use their ships because who needed to play any other faction?, that way it won't be too difficult to get new designs each event, and we can finally stop getting Breen starships for winter!

The JVDC IS the Dominion Flagship, equivilant to the Oddysey (Fed Flagship starship classes), Borq (Klingon Flagship Classes), Scimitar (Romulan Republic Flagship classes), and Damar (Cardassian Union Flagship Class).

Yeah I have no desire for any more Breen ships, I have the carrier mostly for the trait and because at the time I had no carrier, but I have no interest in more Breen ships, I love DS9 but the akward, asymetrical Breen ships are among the ugliest ships in Star Trek, we have a whole bunch of them, its time for a new option, like a Trill or Cardassian Carrier.
Another week and NO RISA? what gives and not even a word about it to the community. Either say something like still working on it, no need due to ViL or cancel for 2018? Anything but silence would be great IMO.

My friend is becoming convinced that the Event won't happen this year. I've told her if that happens they'll likely have a civil war around here. *Chuckle*
I'm sure it will come around soon enough. Likely the end of the month, early next month.

Yeah, the Vorgon Cruiser which will likely be a science ship, I've said a number of times before that they will probably release it for this summer event. But with my specific post you were quoting I was talking about the next winter ship.
