[RISA] Victory is Risa: Summer Event 2018 Delay - Discussion

Merging all topics, questions/answers, and discussion threads regarding: Risa Summer Event 2018 Delay due to Victory is Life.

This includes all ongoing questions about when the event is going to start due to planned delay for VIL.

And yes, Virginia, there will be a Summer Event this year.

    The summer event is on its way soon with that we also have the new playable species will we see cloned super soldiers in board shorts wearing sunglasses building death fortesses made of sand on the beach at Risa? Most importantly will we actually have some decent customisation options for the new race to have that look pleasing to the eye. Lastly gamma quantrant swimwear? what would that look like?

    Yes.

    Although if we're unlucky, said soldiers may have body parts missing if they forget to make full skin textures for them.

    I can not find the dates for Summer Event. Did they post it anywhere?

    I only find the Jem'Hadar stuff.

    No official word yet and it hasn't popped up in the ingame calendar (which isn't very reliable though). I'm not too worried though, the last 4 years it started around june 5th-8th so I guess the first couple blogs will roll out whis week.

    Hopefully new stuff this year to...

    Don't expect too much new stuff. It's probably gonna be the usual new floater & board color variations and maybe 2 or 3 new pieces of swimwear.

    I would agree with you as I prefer the corvette, but it really doesn't seem likely.

    OK... I am getting kinda excited for Summer Event to start. :)

    I looked at the calendar...they don't even have Victory is Life on there, yet.

    I wonder if it is on that advertisement pop up window? I never read it, just close it. LOL! I guess, they made that landing window, soooooo intrusive, I am ignoring it. Which kinda defeats the purpose.

    Nope...nothing on the pop up window, landing page thing, either.

    They announced recently that VIL is launching June 4th (for PC), so I'm assuming the event will either start then or shortly after.

    T6 Risian Corvette please, and fix its console so the burst doesn't get interrupted, and the drooping solar sails on the T5U Risian Cruiser.

    First or second thursday of June, unless they change the schedule for ViL release.

    First Summer Event started on June 27 while the others started on June 4 to June 8 which were all on Thursday so June 7 is the most likely date unless the ViL expansion messes things up.

    Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing it pushed back to its original start date so that it covers most of the summer and doesn't conflict with leveling/expansion.

    Most of the events did not start in summer (June 4 to 8 is still spring), so even this may not be true.
