"The details of each Jem’Hadar’s pre-completed progression will vary depending on the profession path chosen when creating your character – Engineering, Science, or Tactical." from this blog.
I'm waiting on more details on what this means before deciding.

If I had to guess... it will vary the spec point allocation to lean more towards Tac, Engie, or Sci. Don't know if this will also have an impact on reps and crafting though.

will probably make one of each at some point or another. just depends on how things go with the expac and such

I guess this should be called "Tact Online"...only way to go
Well... it usually follows the meta.
I mean there was a time people called it Escorts Online, then when Romulans came out it was basically Romulans Online...

Engineering, All 3 of my mains are engineers. I like flying cruisers and dropping epic stuff on groud. this is going to be neat to do it with Polaron stuff now too.
I try to make a point of having one character of each profession in each faction. I'll probably start with sci though since that's just the career I enjoy the most. Maybe I'll try a tactical or engineering character in a science ship though.
Jem'hadar, it's gonna be Tactical.
Probably won't bother with a Cardassian. Got too many toons already and it won't start at lvl 60. Don't got time for a full grind up! Maybe if a new Delta/AoY type thing comes where grinding a new lvl 1 toon gets me account wide stuff, THEN I'll make one.

Tactical or Engineering, I haven't decided yet.. I want my jem'hader to be a drone master but I also kinda want to use Polaron Bombardment, which is tact only. and I have mixed feelings on using universal drones.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Usually tac and sci are my go to classes, I don't go out of my way to make an engi as it doesn't usually interest me. But I picked tac because I usually go for that first in most cases.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

While I sure want all three, for now I will have just two: Tact "PayDar" and undecided yet "FreeDar" (Eng, if there will be recruitment event for them, if not then it is Sci).

I do the same thing, I always have one character for each career, for each faction. After that I've created more characters based around themes, and they are Tactical more often than not.
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

I am still on the fence atm, I love tactical because of my Klingon mains T6 Kor (Anything up to a dreadnaught dead in 1 pass) but I think it might be because that does fit jem'hadar nicely. It will be nice to play a race where blowing stuff up and blindly following orders fits the race. I got a bit jaded during the dominion war as I didn't agree with the aliances decision (Didn't make sense for feds, romulans or Klingons to me).
It will be nice to play a race that was apparently born to be an STO race lol
I selected tac and eng but after consideration I will go eng first as I have several tac characters already and fancy trying eng. A previous poster mentioned combat engineers and the thought of combat engineer jemhadar really appeals to me.
tac of course. but might also make a sci just for the carrier so can use photonic fleet/fleet support and frigates. have as much dominion ship spam as I can get.
heres hoping dominion has good fleet support ship and photonic ships with new rep polaron beams. those regular polaron ruin immersion, want canon weapons. you can do it cryptic

Do you need excellence on an Exotic Damage Build on a SCI Vessel? TAC Captain is your answer.
Do you need to tank better? Kill the enemies first and you no longer need anyone to tank. TAC Captain is your answer.

What?
What kind of sick joke is this?
Why would you do this to yourself?!

Does a tactical mess with high explosives in the middle of a firefight that ISN'T the size of a grenade?

Uhh, yeah. At least that was one of the things I was trained to do, and as a scout I would have been considered tactical.
