Given that the OG lockbox ship, the T5 Jem'Hadar Attack Ship, is available at the Ultra Rare tier in the Phoenix Store, the following deprecated T5 lockbox offerings should also be included at Ultra Rare, especially now that they have T6 counterparts:
- Cardassian Galor Cruiser
- Xindi-Aquatic Narcine Dreadnought Carrier
- Elachi S'golth Escort
- Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer
- ...list should continue to expand as T5->T6 conversions continue
Given that the Epic tier of ships contains exclusive T6 event releases, the following exclusive T5 event releases should also be added, but to the Ultra Rare tier along with other T5 offerings, even though some pre-date Legacy of Romulus. Given that the Phoenix Prize Tokens are bound to account, players can simply scoop them up on an alternate character. I am aware of the Fleet Store availability of some of these, but the prices are pretty high.
- Odyssey Star Cruiser (Starfleet)
- Bortas Battle Cruiser (KDF)
- Obelisk Carrier (All Factions)
- Support Cruiser Retrofit (Starfleet)
- Kamarag Battle Cruiser (KDF)
Previously exclusive uniform unlocks would be really great additions at the Very Rare tier! There's really no reason to not make these available, and it's not a "slap in the face" to anyone who just happened to be online that day after reading the website post and/or forums.
- Kelvin Timeline Admiral Uniform
- Kobali Uniforms
- Star Trek Discovery Uniforms
Note that since the T5 Lobi ships are still in the Lobi store, those don't need to be included in the Phoenix Store. But these prizes are truly unavailable now and it's what the Phoenix Pack is all about.
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard?

T5 Ody and Bort are available to fleets with a T5 shipyard.
The Obelisk is at a T1 spire.

JHAS T5 is an odd case since wasn't a lock box or R&D ship - https://sto.gamepedia.com/Jem'Hadar_Attack_Ship
It was in "winter packs" in the Winter 2011-12 event, then in doff packs from 2012 - 2014.
I think the price of an Epic token is worth an account lock
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
Greed? The "consolation prize" here for the 4,000 dil phoenix pack is a 4,300 dil universal tech upgrade. (= 4 x superior tech, AND no mats + 15,000 EC cost to craft it.)
If you upgrade gear, it's the best upgrade available after the Omega ones.
That's all I open them for, same goes with lockboxes where I open them for the lobi thesedays.
I did have a spat of very gl luck on Thursday and Friday where I won 2 Vanguards ? on Thursday and 2 of the KDF carriers on Friday. I did buy a lotto ticket for Saturday but I guess I used up all my luck the previous 2 days so i'll have to be space rich rather than RL rich.

I dont think the ships that are on sale via the fleet-store need to be included though.
Although that might get a limited list due to sompek and maru events having their own store now.
JHAS isn't an odd case really. It's also a retired promo ship along with the Voth Bulwark ship. I think that cryptic doesn't intend to create a T6 Voth promo ship but it would be nice. Since it won't be re-run as a T5 promo ship, putting it into the phoenix pack made sense. Putting the T5 JHAS in there is a sweetener if nothing else. It was the ultimate hype/buzz ship before the T6 ships and the T6 Constitution came along and does a good job helping to push phoenix packs to players that already have all the event ships. Many of them do not have a bug ship in any form.
If we do see T6 Voth ships, i think the T6 bulwark will probably make it into the box ala Vonph/Whatever that nakhul ship is called.
I dont think it sold all that well, as back in the day the only stat that mattered was tactical consoles and turn rate, and by that standard it was a pretty trash ship. Given they only ran it once, and then just went straight back to using the JHAS as the Promotion! ship i suspect this is the case.
Another point against the JHAS is that the hangar pets it unlocks are only usable on the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier, which is a shame because several of my toons have ships with a hangar bay and would really appreciate the option!
Many people have claimed to have opened hundreds if not thousands of these boxes without getting a ship token, I'm one of those who never had one.
If you need to open hundreds if not over one thousand of these things, wouldn't it simply be much easier to just buy the T6 versions of the ships either through the Exchange or simply trying your luck with lock boxes? They have access to the T5 skins as far as I know (I only own one T5-turned-T6 lock box ship, the Sistruus and it has access to the T5 skin).
Maybe if they made them very rare ones that it would be useful, but then again that would probably not properly represent their price when they still dropped from boxes.
I think there is simply something else needed to have this idea of adding retired lobi ships to the Phoenix box making sense - which is a change to the drop rate of the UR and epic tokens. They're horrible right now, and anyone who can afford to spend the millions of dilithium needed to have a reasonable chance at winning a ship, could also simply buy the ships that are still dropping and which have everything the old T5s have - plus more.
To add to my previous post, adding retired lobi ships to the Phoenix box as UR or epic token-ships would make sense if they made them account unlocks, as suggested previously by ussvaliant:
Then the drop rate could remain the same, and then there would be a point to try and get these ships through the Phoenix box - instead of simply buying Zen and trying your luck with lock boxes (which have far better drop rates it seems) or just buying through the Exchange.
oh the old lock box grand prize ships... they could also just give you the T5 ship if you claim the T6 version. Course the T5 would be bind on acquire, not open box, to prevent selling on exchange.
Like many things on this lovely game of ours, adding items to the Phoenix Box is actually more work than just clicking a box somewhere that says "make this in the Phoenix Box." The team went through and added an original list of items they thought would be popular, and are slowly adding more over time. The box, I promise, is not static.

Which again, I ask (and someone else too) Why? What is the point of getting a T5 ship that is inferior to the T6 version you just got? I am seriously curious, because I don't understand why you need the physical ship, when you get the skin for the T6 version and the T6 is suppose to be superior.
There's a special Zomb-igrade picture in it for you, Cryptic, if this happens!
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
The Kobali uniform needs to be added as a permanent reward for the episode mission.
