Sir Patrick has your answer right here....

The actual anniversary is the 28th, so this may be coming then. I'd find it hard to believe if there wasn't a new ship/interior pack in the C-Store with this.

I wish Cryptic would announce things much further out and keep hyping them up. >.> Instead of leaving us in the dark and making us depend on rumors. But thanks for the info. :)

Unless it actually comes from Cryptic....DON'T BELIEVE A RUMOUR! Cryptic, can and will change things at a moment's notice. You of all people should know this. If it's not on the News Feed or Forum, don't believe anything.

Cryptic never announces stuff much in advance, because it's bad for business (because you'll stop spending, and start saving up for that one day). Instead, they want to do like a Lobi sale, immediately followed by something you will want too (fortunately, for me, not this flight-deck non-sense); like an interior pack, or other must-have bundle.

I think introducing bridges was a mistake on Cryptic's part. They serve little purpose (outside those bridges with bank/mail/exchange access). Customizable exteriors and outfits for characters make sense. You can actually enjoy that level of customization during normal play. Unique bridges have no gameplay value.

The ability to set up and customize trophies might have worked. You could collect those accolades and hang unique trophies in your ready room or mess hall. Too bad they ditched the entire system with Legacy of Romulus.
Well, the thing is, a Star Trek game that isn't a RTS or card-game and has no bridge would be kinda like a Mass Effect game where you can't interact with your companion outside battles, or a Doom game without Cacodemons. That's basically wrong.

But I agree dumping the trophy system was a big and pointless mistake.

You mean, like a Star Trek game with no exploration?

... yet, the game still functions just fine.

They use a 3rd person view during combat, so a bridge is superfluous without instituting some gameplay relevant portion on the bridge itself. Since they did away with the ONLY gameplay element associated with starship interiors, creating more bridges is a waste of development time.

Which the game does during many missions, actually.

IIRC, we have the Kelvin timeline Constitution bridge, a similar design for the Sphere Builders' ships and spheres, a Hirogen bridge, the Origin bridge, the Prime timeline Constitution and Pioneer bridge, the Iconian bridge, the Obelisk bridge, the Romulan and Scimitar bridge, the Krenim bridge, the Odyssey and Bortasqu bridge (during the older First Contact events), the 26th century bridge, the Wells bridge, the I-forgot-the-name Klingon bridge, the Voth bridge (only in cutscenes), the Undine bridge, the Elachi bridge, the Tal Shiar Borg-adapted bridge, the Na'kuhl bridge, the Tholian bridge, the shuttle bridges, the Jem'Hadar bridge, the Lukari bridge (in cutscenes), the Vorgon bridge (in a cutscene), the Defiant bridge (in cutscenes), and most recently, the Galaxy bridge.

Which of those is on your personal bridge?

Otherwise, those are just misc mission locations and they are beyond the scope of what is being discussed. Cryptic can build whatever locations they want for an episode. Those locations have nothing to do with personal ship interiors.

At best there is a single mission in the Romulan Mystery arc that requires you to visit your ready room to decrypt Hakeev's notes. If more missions had that requirement, you would at least have a reason to visit your ready room to click a button. But they don't. Since they don't capitalize on personal starship bridges as a game mechanic, they are wasting their time when they make personal starship bridges.

Plus, the blog shows quarters you don't have access to in the episode.

I agree with everything else that you said, but the blog only shows areas that we get, albeit with battle damage, in the episode. The quarters that you see is actually the Observation Lounge at the back of the bridge, and is accessible in the episode. Go to the opposite side of the turbolift that you appeared from in the cutscene and a door will open to a hallway that leads to the lounge. There's even an accolade for going in there.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Cryptic knows we want it and that it is likely to be a huge success. We have 1,5B EC ships in game which are far less desirable.

After the Constitution, Defiant and Voyager this is the 4rth interior they release. Last one was almost three years ago and the way to sell it was different from the way before. I doubt we can count on any form of consistency after such a time and rather should count on Cryptic’s ambition to generate revenue.

I for my part have no problems at all if the players of this game would need to pay an arm and leg for it. I rather see this game bankrolled over such stuff than more power creep again.

Oh yea and I’m almost looking forward to tell everybody “You don’t need to have this interior in order to be successful in game”. :D

Lobi store is a possibility, given that most outfits made for sale in the past 5 years have been in there. Since they started putting outfits in the Lobi store, we've only seen about 10 or 11 outfits in the C-Store, and 9 of those were either parts of the bundles that they sold for each expansion, or in 1 case an outfit released with LoR but not in the bundle. I doubt it, but we'll see. Last interior was the Voyager one, and they didn't really charge anything extra for it, just made it part of the Intrepid bundle. I believe the Pathfinder+Interior package is sold for the standard 3000 Zen that you'd pay for the Pathfinder alone, minus the discount, since it's only available during ship sales.

Whatever way they make it available, we probably won't know until the anniversary, or maybe even with Season 14 next month. New spec means new ships, and I could easily see a new Miracle Worker Galaxy variant as a possibility. I think that you are overestimating a dozen or so people on here wanting the interior, many of whom probably think it will be just given away as part of the anniversary, as a broad demand for it. I'd like it, and am quite excited for its eventual availability, but if it were in the Lobi store, I'd happily ignore it for quite some time, if not forever. It's just not the visible status symbol that a ship, or even an outfit, is, since nobody but you can even see it unless you invite them aboard.

Maybe it will be sold exclusively with a T7 Galaxy. With most people having Mk XIV gear now and most T6 ships. It seems likely there will be a bump in weapons and ships to bring in a bunch more money along with a new tier of ships. :P

There's at least one mission that requires you to visit your bridge - after completing Mine Enemy, you have to go to your bridge, then head into your ready room to access the library computer. (If you're using the TOS interior, you don't have a ready room, and instead have to use the turbolift and go to a briefing room.)

And of course after you take down Hakeev, you get a side mission to place the trophy from Obisek in your rec room/dining hall.

That was actually my fault, sorry. I was under the impression that, when the mission was released, they would've released the set as well, so I edited the online Wiki page with the date that I thought would've coincided with the release of the interior.

But I do agree that it makes sense that they would officially release the interior near the date of the anniversary.

Just so everyone knows, the "Star Trek Online Wiki" is just like Wikipedia and, as such, can be edited by anyone; I don't think it's officially endorsed by Cryptic.

T6 was designed specifically to make T7 unneeded, T6 can be expanded infinately by releasing new specializations.

And if they wish to release as part of a bundle, they can just make a variant Galaxy with a different specialization.

I hope there is more than one version of the bridge. I'd like to see a AGT version of the bridge or at the very least, the bridge from Generations.

Not personal but a handful of them use bridges I used to use.

That doesn't change the fact many bridges are used for some gameplay-relevant portion of missions over the course of the game. So, you may argue they're mostly useless for players' ships, but the assets are there and they made them available to players anyway. It's a plus and the devs chose to keep going with making unique ship bridges instead of sticking with the default bridges despite having no real incentive to (since they said bridge packs don't sell well), and I don't see what is wrong with that.

There is? Oh, that's good to know, I thought only the ready room was available for an accolade, thanks for the info.

EDIT: And after checking, I'll go back to my previous statement, which was about the episode not showing all of the Galaxy interior, because the Observation Lounge isn't the room I saw in the bog screenshot:

It doesn't have the big table, but it is that long narrow room. I don't recall anyone's personal quarters looking like that on the show, but I definitely could be mistaken. Looking at it, I think that might be the "public space" of the Captain's quarters. It may have been a redress of the same set. The lighting is closer to that of the Observation Lounge, since the officers' quarters were always quite dark.

The only things that we don't see in the FE that would be functional on a full interior are Sickbay and a Science Lab of some sort, which is a lot closer to done than what we see on the Origin interior in the Starfleet tutorial.

With the new Galaxy bridge coming out, I, like many other players, am left wondering what I am to do about the new bridge release.

Having seen what I have of the Galaxy bridge, it looks indescribably incredible, and I am certain that I'll be picking it up soo after it comes out. However, there is a problem. I own and fly a plethora of ships with unique, unchangeable bridges, and am concerned I won't be able to actually use the thing if I buy it. I absolutely love the looks of it so far, and I really, truly wish to be able to see it in completion, but I can't do that without severely limiting my playing options.

I do hope that the devs will just let this one instance of internal ship accuracy be lain to the wayside, so I can enjoy the paradise that is this upcoming nostalgia bomb in its full, rightful glory.

      Thanks for listening.

Due to a bug, we got a bit of a sneak peek and it appears that your hopes have been answered.

That picture definitely is the Captain's quarters, and it is too bright compared to what we saw on screen, and maybe a bit too earth tone. The pictures that I could find of it that were actual screencaps show the light being concentrated on the desk area, with the window side being much darker and blue-hued. This isn't the only recreation of that set like this, mind you, the Detroit Science Center had one that was really bright all the way through, like someone had filled the set with flood lights.

Maybe this is a good place to point out the opposite is true for the allied fdcs. Those have no bridge and are stuck with the default ones. They could use a new Galaxy bridge, but it wouldn't make sense.
