[PC] The Lukari Restoration Initiative Reputation

ambassadorkael#6946 ambassadorkael Member, Administrator Posts: 2,679 Community Manager
The Lukari Restoration Initiative represents their attempts to utilize Protomatter to undo damage dealt by the Tzenkethi. Their expertise in using Protomatter, combined with their sustainability doctrine and scientific focus, has resulted in an approach to exploration that revolves around leaving the universe a better place for all those who share it.

This new reputation will be available with Season 12’s release and will feature all new traits, kit modules, space equipment sets and a ground equipment set.

If we have already unlocked Mk XIII Ultra as part of the Temporal Recruit Event, I assume that we will be getting that level equipment for this Reputation from the start.

So much beautiful stuff in there, I like it.

Although I'm not buying the 'leaving the universe a better place' stuff... we all know this is going to be about more pew pew ;)

The answer to that question is, "What else are they going to offer to get us to do the ques?" They intentionally got rid of random drops from ques years ago in favor of the rep system. Reps are here to stay and will continue to come out because it's an easy way to let players earn gear at a predictable rate, regardless of if you want to do them or not.

Does seem very mediocre everything Lukari related as far as I can read.

Nothing seems worth getting because lots of currently already in game stuff is better.

Had hoped for more attractive traits, skills etc.

Nothing in it to improve my current set-ups.

I like the space set, frankly
however, DPS is so out of whack right now that being a "support" ship is not even an option, everything dies to fast for people to be threatened. I wish I could play a support-ish healer ship and actually matter but it doesn't work in this environment right now since the skill revamp sent dps sky high

I was really hoping phasers would be next, oh well the torp sounds nice

I'm digging the armor pretty well, especially the helmet. If you could only lose the canards on the sides of the helmets, they would look perfect.
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.

      Things I want in STO:

      1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
      2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
      3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
      4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
      5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
      6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
      7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
      8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

Yeah this seems way better than the stuff that has come out since DR lol. One suggestion for the future would be to not make the weapon sets so broad ranged. Just for example if I was a person flying a b'rel or akira/armitage wanting to do a mostly projectile boat might be more fun to have options to make it like a console, torp, and mine launcher.

For complaints though I'm out of those kdf has the dps race ships, usable torp boat b'rel, equal content, and recently we have an actual science ship so the game is mostly balanced at the moment between factions. The only suggestion though I can come up with at the moment though with battle zones though this isn't much of a complaint but more of a request/quality of life change to these BZ's is instead of fixing the teaming between factions maybe just create something completely different that works like an over lay of sorts so you can easily see who is on the map and possibly where and being able to communicate other than zone map chat :) Maybe call it something like Alliance Comms or something and then later on toss in lockbox and rep items that benefit it more and then later on when we are all used to using it create a new jem hadar enemy faction that comes and does like they did on the show and jam our comms every time we try to use them :).

Thats all I have to say but good job Cryptic :D lol

Edit: One other thing when it comes to balance and support ships/abilities we also have to remember especially with drought of Star Trek content in movie and tv form that we have a lot of players who are not gamers/mmorpg players that sometime need extra help :). So sometimes it is good to be able to carry a whole team especially when that teams need you :)

Interesting looks, but a lot of restoration abilities.
Kit modules look interesting enough and useful against mechanical opponents, but the space set has not convinced me yet.

Space weapon set looks like potential synergy with Isokinetic cannon set so that could be interesting.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I am really disappointed, Another Polaron weapon type in the Rep.... some of us like Tetryon, and phaser, and even Plasma, wheres the love for those weapon types cryptic? eh? too many Antiproton and Polaron in the Rep me thinks, but it might just be me.

I know there is one Tetryon and Plasma, before you all say so, but there is a lot of Antiproton and Polaron, that's all I'm saying.

Will get it on a soon to be created Lukari character of course, but I am also not thrilled about polaron. I think it's my least favoured weapon type, despite having one of the best procs. So much AP and Polaron these days.

Yeah very disappointed about this being Polaron, especially with their attitude, I would've thought the Lukari would've selected Phaser like the Federation.

But can we talk about the Lukari Drone for a second? WHY does the drone have a face on it? WHY is that face on its backside? WHY does the face on its backside look SURPRISED?

well well, my original character has always used polaron and turns poorly so the console has a slight chance of making it onto my ship. however the torpedo would have to be as good as the early days of that shield stripping torpedo we had before it was nerfed to justify slotting 2 pieces. It sounds similar to that torpedo (i forget the name) "When fired as a salvo, or with the photonic shockwave upgrade, it drains and debuffs the hardness of your enemy's shields in a massive area around your primary target."

The functionality of the torpedo's shield drain and hardness debuff is similar to the current functionality of the Quantum Phase Torpedo, because I do not want to release another torpedo that can drain 6 million shield hitpoints in a single torpedo spread. That caused a number of problems, and we are not about to return to that.

I don't know if I missed it, but it would be nice to see the space set have useful additional bonuses if equipped on Lukari ship.

Example : The Breen absolute zero set has a bonus when equiped on a Breen ship.

IMO it's common sense that their tech would work better on their ships. I wouldn't mind seeing them add something to all the rep space sets like that.
