Interesting looks, but a lot of restoration abilities.
Kit modules look interesting enough and useful against mechanical opponents...
Read: the array of drones Tzenkethi are likely to be fielding dirtside. As for the armor visuals themselves... adding some pouches (cargo pockets; belt w/pouches; variants of the researcher or scientist kit visuals) would be logical. Failing that, people will have to improvise... assuming that this visual is considered 'Uniform' as opposed to living in its own slot (TFO battledress comes to mind as an example of this).

I don't know if I missed it, but it would be nice to see the space set have useful additional bonuses if equipped on Lukari ship.
    That would, indeed, be reasonable.

As for this set itself... well, the space shields' innate resistance implies that the Tzenkethi use some flavor of tetryon; the passive AoE shield healing is likely to pique carrier operators' interest.

Do we really need more reputations?

My issue isnt another rep my issue is anther damn currency , when one universal currency would suffice we got a moutain of currencies and most are useless once the rep is done.

another reputation to fill. yay. i cannot wait. i am so very excited cryptic gave me exactly the same thing to do all over again. someday i hope to see sto be the only mmo in the world with 100+ reputation systems. i am guessing this will occur sometime around june 2018.

the only question i have left to find an answer to is - which dev(s) did the copy/paste? brilliant work. really cutting edge. no, seriously. must've pure hell wearing out those <crtl-c> <crtl-v> functions. or did someone set up a keybind so the team only had to repeatedly press <spacebar>.

That would lead to even more people spamming CCA or ISA making any other que, and all battlezones, meaningless and never run. The only way to get players to at least try to do something different is require a different currency for every rep thus requiring you to do something other than the quickest to complete. Unless that's your end game of not actually having to do anything beyond spamming CCA across all characters?

Where having so many reps for me it is more the fact of the elite marks than another currency IE the regular mark. It would be nice if they listed the elite marks in the asset tab of our inventory to free up some inventory/bank space, even if it were done after the rep had stopped being the most recent set of reps. Such as that the three most recent rep's elite marks take up inventory space, while the other rep's elite marks were rolled over toi the assent window/tab.

Does seem very mediocre everything Lukari related as far as I can read.

Nothing seems worth getting because lots of currently already in game stuff is better.

Had hoped for more attractive traits, skills etc.

Nothing in it to improve my current set-ups.

Read the rep gear and traits stuff, went meh. Nothing worth getting, but hey, it's easy dil to max out reps.

Are you guys seriously expecting something off-the-charts awesome?

These guys literally just perfected warp drive. By all rights, they SHOULD be at Enterprise-era tech levels, but they got some tech boosts from the Feds, Klingons, Ferengi, and probably other races.
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.

    Things I want in STO:

    1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
    2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
    3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
    4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
    5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
    6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
    7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
    8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

My lack of enthusiasm is not related to the gear or any of the specs or set bonuses.

It is directly attributable to there being yet another Rep to fill. Yet another type of Elite Mark to acquire by ones and twos. Yet another Rep currency to acquire in lots of 150 or less. Yet another STF to grind until my fingers bleed. More Space, Weapon, and Ground Sets of Rep gear which require lots of both kinds of Marks. Along with a re-donku-lous amount of Dilthium. And I am almost certain something in the costuming will be broken for Fed or KDF or both.

Been there. Done that. Got the T Shirt. BTW, anything in this game which is, or was, "off-the-charts awesome" either was broken when it deployed to Holodeck or got nerfed to oblivion after people came here and complained.

Which usually goes something like this: "Fill-In-The-Blank is OP! Unfair to players! My ship lost three HP off the shields! Plz Nerf or I'll never spend moniez on this game again! I am a paying customer! I spent the entire five dollars my Great Aunt Matilda gave me for my birthday last year on this game!"

I know there is one Tetryon and Plasma, before you all say so, but there is a lot of Antiproton and Polaron, that's all I'm saying.
The Lukari shield resists Tetryon. I'm guessing the Tzenkethi use Tetryon. If so, we will probably get Tetryon Tzenkethi weapons in the next lockbox. Possibly some fancy Tetryon weapons on the lockbox ships as well.

The Reputation is another 40 days for one of my Characters and 20 for the rest. No, the thing that has me 'depressed' is the new Research School. Another half a bajillion day grind to get that up is not something I'm looking forward to. :(

Agreed. The only polaron toon I have uses DBBs so a single array or DHC is useless to me.

I honestly don't get why the rep projects don;t give us a choice of single beam, cannon, DBB or turret - restrict to one per ship, or just one contributing to the set bonuses by all means but let us decide. Many of my other builds are in the same situation (phaser beam arrays for example force me away from the Undine turret for example, meaning I have to use the console and torp if I want the Phaser damage bonus).

I'm more interested in their use against the elachi. The amount of ground combat against Tzengethi we will see is still a mystery at this point.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I would rather see them make the rep set weapons have a variable mode mechanic to them, though not like the experimental proton weapon that uses the set bonuses to gain access to using both beam as well as cannon abilities, but more of a toggle that allows you to switch between two modes of that weapon. For instance it could start as a beam array (or a single or dual cannon) an then using the toggle shifts the stats to being those of a dual beam bank (or in the case of cannons toggling up to dual or dual heavy cannon), and this would allow the all rep set weapons to be more useful an appealing to get. THis could even work with a turret based rep set weapon, as you could have it switch between a heavy turret mode, as well as a omni-array mode, while also keeping the idea of a single unique limit to the weapon.

From what i can tell the new Lukari gear will be well suited for a tank and team support build, but unless something really changes with the arrival of the Tzengethi there is currently no content which justifies such a build.

I agree, those should be rolled over into the same 'tab' as EC, regular marks, et cetera... in fact, as long as we're here, I'd also raise again the idea of a tab dedicated to non-combat pets (ala the R&D tab).

A logical idea: I can see no good reason for not being able to choose the format of the set weapon to suit a particular loadout. For example, the Nukara Appropriated Munitions package can fit naturally into something like Timberwolf's budget Xyfius loadout, but you should be able to requisition a hyper-refracting cannon (turret, single, dual, or dual heavy) for a cannon-based setup (example).

I like it, I'm glad to see something other than a reputation dedicated to offensive builds. Each reputation is supposed to be different from each other, so as to add variety to the game.

    I am sorry i can't quote.
My opinion is that the new reputation system is good good traits for everyone. The new spaceset is a technic set an alternative to the Kobali set.It sounds to me that most of the protomaterie is for healing/resistance for example the new polaron weapons who can heal you.But it is said that is again a spaceset.
I just wondering if i am the only that the lukari have the warp core just a few years and have more modern technology than the romulans, fed und kilngons? They have more years and experience....it sounds unlogical to me.So a technological advance in so a tme...
I wish there will be another new ground battlezone but i still dream :)

What irks me about Polaron weapons is that they always fire those weird wavy lines instead of straight beams. I like squirly lines just well ~ I just prefer the space weapon aesthetics of straight phaser/disruptor beams.

I would not have minded if it were some other type of torpedo, even though photon is pretty good an common place to slot in the types. It would have been nice to have to have either a tricobalt torpedo as that type has been used the least out of the main types (even has the least variants of all the types at 3 total), though I could have went with either a plasma torp or transphasic (if not for just having chroniton on the last rep that would have been nice too.). They might be quite under-developed in the department of ship design, as well as interstellar travel, but they have also shown that they are quite a bit more developed in other areas of scientific study. Like they showcased in some parts of the last story-mission we had done.

The helmet for the rep armor reminds me of the helmet from the Hirogen armor, however the only thing I don't like about the rep armor is the side antennae thing, if there's an option to disable it then it would be okay for me.

Yeah very disappointed about this being Polaron, especially with their attitude, I would've thought the Lukari would've selected Phaser like the Federation.

But can we talk about the Lukari Drone for a second? WHY does the drone have a face on it? WHY is that face on its backside? WHY does the face on its backside look SURPRISED?

Lots of objects in game ( and in life ) seem to have faces on them.

Thing is, I agree with Kyle-Cat. While Drain-boat + Glass Cannon is "functional", 2x Glass Cannons > Drainer w/Glass Cannon.

I'm starting to see that Sciences are gonna "want" a tank nearby so that when they Grav Well the Tzenkethi, having a tank that can eat the enhanced Tzenkethi damage might be useful. But are the Tzenkethi "sturdy enough" so that 2x Sci's piling Sci magic on the site isn't gonna equate to insta-mob-death and/or escape the mantra "get your escorts/cruisers out and just blast the hordes with super-DPS BFaW"?

This is what STO "lacks". Any sort of compelling reasons to have a mixed team over 5x DPS boats. Their so far "greatest" attempt at forcing mixed teams - Mirror Incursion - suffers from being "completeable" by 5x escorts "more optimally" than a 3x escort / Sci / Cruiser group (where the sci = rift closer and the cruiser's burning laps around the map turning on beam generators...)
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

I took some screenshots of various ships with the shield and I find it quite pretty, even if for some, even Tron producers would deem that as "too much". The engine trails are gorgeous too, though I think they could be longer to be properly enjoyed.
