I have to disagree with you Hypnotic beast. From my experience the more $ you spend on the game the lower the drop rate from boxes. After all I'm spending it anyway.

Why do these topics always make me laugh? Don't gamble your money, simple as.
With 577 keys you could have bought at least 8 decent lockbox ships off the exchange.
Heck, I no longer bother upgrading equipment, I simply buy epic quality off the exchange. Cheaper and far less stressful.
I have used between 50+ and definitely under a hundred keys and gotten a couple ships, most notably a T6 Connie. Also, I don't mind the lobi, or the surprise items. It's kind of fun. Not saying everyone should, but it is what I did.
So...let me get this straight. You wanted lobis fron those boxes and got lobis...and you are mad because?!? You say you did not care about a ship. You are obviously lying. You also do not know how to do statistics as well None of this is the fault of cryptic. It's all you. Scream and yell like a child if you want...but don't expect to be treated as more then a child then.
Do you suppose the OP yells at the convenience store clerk because the OP hasn't won the lottery yet despite having bought a ticket every week for the last 10 years?
The easiest way to force the RNG to give you a lockbox is to set off a strand of firecrackers in your house and open the boxes while they are going off. The noise from the firecrackers scares away ghosts who come to take your lucky.
Thought I was the only one. *phew*
Careful where you post that info, you may catch the ban hammer.

It's "should've" (as in should have) not "should of"....your advice doesn't come off as smart when you type stupid.
