First, WTH is PDT and when has a sale ever ended at 10 in the morning pdt?? Then when I put up for sale a lot of 10 lock box keys, immediately see that I forgot a zero and quickly hit the REMOVE LOT button. But does it remove it? Hell no!!! So the person that was obviously trolling got all of them for the cost of less than one key and now I'm out real cash and lost out on $49,000,000 because this game failed yet again!! Really regretting spending the money for a lifetime!!! Can't wait for support to YET AGAIN TELL ME NOTHING CAN BE DONE EVEN THOUGH THE GAME SCREWED UP BY NOT LETTING ME REMOVE THE LOT, LITERALLY ONE SECOND AFTER I POSTED IT. SMH, SO DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW THINGS WORK ON STO!!!!
To answer your questions in order, PDT is pacfic Daylight time, When has a sale ended at 10 AM PDT? ummmm For as long as I have plated the game which is YEARS.
Clicking the remove button would not have removed it as someone had all ready bought it. The game didn't fail you. Wait..... "Yet again?" I'm sorry but if you have done this before why didn't you learn from it and apply the lesson to future interactions? Yes CS will not give you anything and if your mail to them reads like this post did, I would not be surprised if it never gets a response.
For me if I had been the one to buy the keys I would have either given them back or gave you the money IF YOU SENT A POLITE MAIL STATING THAT THE POST WAS IN ERROR AND THAT YOU WANTED TO WORK SOMETHING OUT. Send me a mail like your post and you go straight to the ignore list.
In the end it was your fault not the games and you got to man up and accept responsibility for YOUR actions.
Actually, they should have a 30 second delay after posting before items are listed. So if you notice a mistake afterwards, then you have a greater chance to notice and cancel. I've never messed up much though, but I do feel for those who have, despite what some might claim, we all have our human glitches at times.
I love this idea! Said mistakes are not always the fault of the user. I lost a ton because of a game glitch once.

This IS a user mistake... heck, the exchange even asks you "Do you want to post said item for this price", and you have to press "OK" to do so...
The 30 second delay is just a waste of dev time, when the issue could be addressed on the users end, by simply paying attention.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let's put together dumb a$$ aid for the op, if we all donate what we can we'll get his money back! Or maybe not just get over it take the learning and move on ur own fault on this one
What makes this thread so funny is op is crying about losing out on 50 mill EC which means he only blew $10 real cash. If $10 is a big deal to him, he's gotta be a teenager with no job who had to beg his parents for some money.
Learn about time zones. You might find the process enlightening.
Cryptic is based in the state of California, which is in the Pacific time zone. PST, or Pacific Standard Time, is GMT -8; PDT, or Pacific Daylight Time, is one hour earlier (GMT -7). The standard time for anything to end in any Cryptic game (STO, Champions Online, Neverwinter Online) is 10 am Pacific time. This has been true since at least 2009, when I started playing CO. The sole exception is on Thursdays, when they install patches and do server maintenance; on those days, since the server won't usually restart until after 10 am, the event/sale/whatever ends when the server goes offline, usually around 6 am Pacific.
As for your error in the Exchange, well, sucks to be you, huh? You screwed up. It's no one else's fault, and no one owes you anything over it. Grow up.

Excellent idea, except does it really take multiple people to put together 50 million? A lot of us can simply help the OP without forming some "committee" to check the sofas for pocket change.
if thats the case, then I have a mostly empty account bank that could use your support :P

It could be a good idea...
Only it simply teaches the OP exactly the opposite of what he should take from this scenario: Check your work and stop crying when you make a mistake and learn from it instead.

True. Better to learn this now with $10 than later buying a car or house, loaning $10,000 to a "friend", answering an email from a Nigerian Prince....
Be careful when money is on the line and/or with a land war in Asia. Both cups might have the iocane powder.
You know, it's been a while since we had one of these threads. You know, the ones where the entire forum gets together in unity to tell somebody that they are a moron. So...congrats OP on bring the forum together.
This one wins the days... Epic post

Yes, he screwed up. That wasn't his point. His complaint is that the game failed to remove the lot when he told it to. THAT is the game's fault, not his.
So it's the game's fault that someone bought it before he could take it down? I... don't see the logic. He posted it, someone was clearly perusing the items in question at the time. Swooped in when they saw the obvious deal and he lost out. That's all on him.

Exactly, the OP even said that the keys were bought around a second after he listed them. He didn't have enough time to take the sale down meaning that the game didn't even have a chance to TRIBBLE anything up.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Exactly. Even at normal prices, keys are often already sold by the time the search results appear. I've had "failed to purchase item" or whatever the already-sold message is many times trying to buy item 1 in the results.

Noooooooo it's not, someone brought it before he could take it back...how is it the game's fault for doing it's job?

why dont you doublecheck the price before submitting an item?
But seriously the thread title should be "I screwed up" not "I got screwed"
