Grinds like these are healthy for the game because they keep the dilithium exchange from hovering too far from the middle for long. And participation is completely optional.
I like your optimism but I don't see this having that much of an impact on the dil exchange tbh. However may the Great Material Continuum prove my scepticism to be wrong.
It probably won't have much effect unless the dilithium cost is insane. Even if it is insane, a lot of people are sitting on mountains of dilithium at this point.

I can throw you invites sometime to my fleet's station if you'd like. I'm willing to help out a forum Minion if he wants to see some new shiny.
I'm actually looking forward to this new holding. Not only will it bring the DL Exchange down a couple points at least, new TOS themed gear will be available. One of the issues has been people wanting TOS kit modules available. Not only that, a new source of TOS BOffs? Bring it on Cryptic! Lets rock and roll!
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I'm a bit preoccupied with NMS & Subnautica at the moment, but I'm sure my Trek-itch will probably kick back in after a long while.
And I may be all gung-ho about flying around the Trek Universe again.
I will be sure to look you up in-game when that point arrives.
My AoY-TOS Toon is Casey, so if ya see a shout from some stranger with that name it'll be me.
I was actually thinking about either dropping Casey out of my "Tribbles Galore" Fleet to join a more active one, or even opening up my Fleet to other's...
But when the T6 Connie's became Ultra-Expensive, (mostly) Unobtainables...,
My joy for STO's venture into the Classic Trek time period started heading into the "angst" zone.
I decided it wasn't worth either the money or the fretting to continue playing.
Anyway, thanks again for the offer, it is most generous.

Welcome news! More TOS themed content and an addition to fleet resources. Fantastic! My only concern is the level of inclusion for Klingon fleets. Even if the station is Federation themed is it possible for Klingon Fleets to reach out and recover the derelict station? I hope to see some vintage Romulan and Klingon treasures from the past as well.
So this TOS stuff will be bought at fleet stores only? That kinda suc ks. Rather have it in dil store or something. I like the costumes, the TOS assault rifle and mini gun, and the pasta colander robot.
One thing it should have is an Astrometrics room, since we know what a Galaxy's and an Intrepid's AM room looks like, so what would their predecessor look like?
Euh *RAISES HAND* !!! What about the KDF side ? Do they get their own version of the "Station K-13 Holding" ?
Klingons will get Station K-13 and it will look exactly like the Fed version. At least in the beginning.
I have a feeling that the Klingon version will take on a more Klingon appearance as it's upgraded. I would also be willing to bet that any of the novelty projects will be Klingon flavored as well. I can imagine that when both the Fed and Klingon versions are fully updated they will look a LOT different from each other.
At least, it'd make sense if they do.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
And here I thought that each fleet has their own unique holdings, but apparently it is always the same one holding for all the fleets... That just somehow exists in an independent parallel pocket universes?

Well see - The Krenim Research Station doesn't look any different between the two factions; and IF the KDF are 'restoring' the station, I would expect the same situation here. The Embassy was probably the last holding that had visual differences. I'm certainly not against the KDF implementation of the holding 'looking more Klingon'; but this is Cryptic - and currently the theme for new content appears to be: "One version used by all..."
As for it making more sense; remember at this point in the STO timeline the Feds and KDF are buddy buddy allies again.

Sounds like it's their solution to the problem of 23c skills, BOFFs and DOFF's being locked in the 23rd century. Thank you for this. I can't wait to make my officers ditch their 25th century tricorders!

With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I share my fleet mates enthusiasm for this new holding; I have my Connie and now I have somewhere to park her its possible I may never go back to ESD once we have this up and running thanks Cryptic, it took 6 years but it was worth the wait!
We really do need more fleet holdings for some more cool stuff to sped credits on. With this K-13 station addition they will hopefully take the opportunity to expand with some more fleet bank repositories as the stuff has gained two levels of quality and countless new content items with no extra space to keep stock for the fleet members to share.

I'll even bring the "classical" music while I work.
Or at least the music I like.

That one DS9 episode showed you had to twist that spike on the bottom and then state your destination.
Other than that, i also wonder if K-13's first tier will have Skeletons lying around, either in random spots or all in a morgue?
