Just change your region to USA in your settings, works for me fine, the push install option didn't work for me here in UK.

So no news on the obvious thing that any intelligent Human being would have done, & allow those who have already been playing on PC, regardless of being a lifetime member or not, to be able to transfer our account to the Xbox?

It's a big fail because when I first started playing STO, I thought it was something I could do with my boys & nephew, but they stuck to their xbox games so I was all on my tod. Now that it is available on the xbox they are going to start playing it again, which means I can join them, except I can't transfer my account. For Microsoft this would mean I will be buying a console I never thought I would need & never wanted, but for Cryptic, the money grabbing, fascist morons who I'm surprised manage to do anything intelligently or intellectually, has screwed up once again & shafted their customers.

I think it's time I head to social media for a bad mouth putdown publically & I think we should all join together & seek legal advice to wake their sorry asses up. 6 years of TRIBBLE poor & shameful in the history of business, customer services, seriously? How long is it going to take before u all start acting like Human beings with some honour instead of the group of chimps somebody locked in a room to try & come up with the works of shakespear?.

Adendum, this is also Microsofts fault because the xbox has access to the internet & as they are behind the main & most popular pC OS, there is no reason why the xbox/internet/PC can't all use the same internet & just sign in as u would anywhere else. Microsoft are the ones who started this TRIBBLE poor, shafting of it's loyal customer base, why is nothing being done to sue them? They got taken to court once for not being customer friendly & they are doing it again now, especially with windows 10?

Anyone having account linking issues? I'm able to log in to Arc through my PS4, and I get to the part where it has the button Link Account, but after clicking, the page just refreshes and the button is there again.

I've read this thread and all the stuff on reddit etc. about "taking away" LTS and so on.

The console servers are a fresh start for a lot of new players with a different payment model, a different game version.
    For example:
    1. There is no subscription and no veteran, no EC-cap. How should the veteran status carry over. There is only the LTS-pack with most of the stuff from PC except the 500 zen per month. And you have your LTS-Pack on PC like before. No one is taking anything from you.
    2. You have stuff on PC that isn't even released yet on console. You used systems like DOFF that aren'T even released on console. HOW should your PC-Stuff carry over.
    3. You have spend several 100 dollars on the different packs on PC. No one is taking that away. If you have fun playing the game... play it. It is still there.

The console launch is a different experience mostly for new players or veterans who want a fresh start. That experience wouldn't work with all the vet-accounts and the markets wouldn't work. It was a design choice to do the differences by cryptic. The console version is an offer. If you like it play it. If not, don't and have as much on PC as before. There is no change on PC.

I really don't understand all the whining about this new option to play.

Well a lot of people dont understand why account unlocks can not be carried over?

Not EC balance or Dil accounts or upgraded gear. Just account unlocks, bought and paid for by store purchase. That would be enough to get me to play on console. Maybe reputation levels too.

    Account unlocks.

The reason being, that I would like to play this game on my console as well as on my PC, like a lot of people with the same complaint. I prefer playing games on my console if i am honest because its more comfortable. I also have a LTS so i don't think its too much to ask.

Now i have no incentive too, and so i won't. The same excuse as Neverwinter, about giving console STO a "fresh start" is frankly rubbish when i bet they can all buy account unlocks from the C-store right off the bat themselves. If it was to transfer an entire account in its entirity, along with currency and gear then i would understand the negatives of that.

But account unlocks? There are no negatives, only greed, hoping people will re buy the same TRIBBLE.

If nothing caries over either direction what was the point in asking us to link our PSN/Live and ARC accounts?

For them, probably data mining. For us, a Khan uniform. Personally, I wouldn't bother at this point... it's a little silly to link two accounts that don't actually link up (from the player's perspective).

The last thing a new release needs is a bunch of people who already have everything running about the place.

Thus most current players are simply asking to carry over the things they already bought, since everyone has the ability to purchase those things as of launch. Don't let the fact that current players cannot carry over account unlocks (despite linking accounts) fool you into thinking that there's a level playing field. Even console gamers have folks that buy in on Day 1 so that they have an edge, and gold farmers (buying from them is a violation of ToS, and is not advisable) are bound to see the nascient economy as a virgin field to infect.

Speaking of purchasing things, what's with the Negh'Tev-class Battlecruiser in the Star Trek Online: Empire Pack (and related Final Frontier Pack)? Each of the other Packs has the appropriate Cross Faction Escort (Valiant, Malem), along with a second part of the Stealth Fighter set, yet the Empire Pack doesn't have the Kor. That potentially breaks two separate Cross Faction Packs and leaves the KDF with a mediocre offering in this instance (at least until Admiralty goes live, then it might be worthwhile).

Just like the forums can do without those who refuse to read! :P

Edit: Don't worry! I am guilty of that myself sometimes. :D

Well, I've played until completing stranded in space. UI took a while to get used. Took me 4 minutes to figure out where crew is assigned in ship. Ground combat aiming is a bit clunky as sometimes it ends up randomly aiming at a crew member which sucks when in the middle of combat. Toon creation in advanced mode is a pain. You'd think that when you go back from choosing something, you'd stay in the same spot (let's say eye color), but it rolls to the exact same spot every time and it's not the top.

Out of curiosity, took a peek at the Exchange. Nice to see the PC Ferengi made it quickly into the Xbox One version. Saw a couple of consoles (yes, not ships) listed at 400 mil and 500 mil EC.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Best part of the console verison. The dil exchange was set to 250 as the start point with no bids whatsoever, and it should drop quickly once players start working on starbases and getting rep gear for the first time and upgrading it.

I played through the tutorial last night (after the damn servers came back up) on the PS4 to see if I'd like it. Seems like it'll take a little getting used to, but having never played it before, it seems like it'll be pretty smooth. My only complaint is (as some have already said) the UI is a little clunky--but I'm guessing there was a lot in the way of controls they didn't care to part with.

Quick question: when is the stuff you get from PSStore (the Legacy packs, etc) supposed to drop in-game?

Does the console version have the LTS benefits like the PC version? Also, if you purchased items in the zen store, such as ships that are unlocked. Are they unlocked in the zen store on the consoles? I know the characters aren't crossing over, but since it is all Arc/PW I would think items you purchased in the zen store should still be unlockable on the consoles. Or am I way off base here?

So, when are the camera options going to be unlocked in the XBox console UI? I'd really like to be able to stop with the free-roaming camera thing - I find it annoying - and trying to move the camera around in space has a tendency to switch my targeting (which depends on the same joystick).

I'm unbelievably disgusted that none of our characters or equipment transfer. This is garbage and a clear money grab. I would willingly throw them my money if they were fair, but this is the last straw. I'm done spending any money on STO. Perfect World sucks and doesn't give a TRIBBLE about the gamers.

Have you thought that if it's not happening then there must be some sort of legal or technical issue that's stopping it from happening.

This transfer of characters from PC to console hasn't happened in any other console MMO I've played (that I'm aware of) so why would STO be any different.

Or it could be that Cryptic will see that it's a popular request and make it happen at some point in the future, unless they have to deal with legal issues from Microsoft or Sony.

I don't understand what the fuss (and there's been a lot of that) is about though, why do people want to move to console, the PC version gets all the content a month or two before consoles and it'll be getting the same amount of content with the same graphics style as the PC version.

I'm moving over myself because the idea of starting fresh appeals (and I don't mind the content gap), I've never bought a Lifetime sub and never will so that doesn't apply to me, I've bought a fair bit from the C-Store but I don't really mind re-buying as the money will be spent on future content anyway, the more money Cryptic gets, the more content WE get in the future, that's my take on that.

The idea that Cryptic doesn't give a toss about gamers is so unbelievable that I'm having a hard time believing you brought it up. Perfect World has been in business since 2004 and it's American arm since 2008 (wikipedia), if they didn't give a toss about gamers (their primary source of revenue) they would have gone out of business within a year (maybe 2) at most it's that simple.

I want to clarify here that this is in no way intended as a troll toward anyone here on the forums, if it comes off that way to you then I can only apologise, I have to say that because it's habit among some of the posters (not naming any names, you know who you are) in these forums to twist peoples words to fit their own agendas so if that's what certain people want to do with this post IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK (at least not with me).

So I'm a lifetime subscriber on PC. I downloaded the game on my PS4 today. and I saw in the store that they are offering a lifetime subscriber option for the PS4. I linked my arc account, and feel like I shouldn't have to buy a separate lifetime subscriber for my PS4. anyone else seen this, or have any comments?

Soooooo, Iam a little bit shocked that PC and Console accounts are separated, could we then get rid of Arc? Does that mean console and pc players cannot play together?
    if so: thumbs down

    My petition:
#1 A player should be able to play with one account on any plattform
#2 new GUI and full controller support should be brought to the PC version too (allow players to switch to it as is beeing done in many games, e.g. like Dragon Age Inquisiton or Elder Scrolls Online)
#3 Star Trek Online should fully support Steam Link and the Steam Controller, so if I play it with the Steam Link it switches to Controller-Mode and works like the PS4/XBox clients.
