Talk about a ripoff to the lifetime subscribers that have played since before arc took over we should be rewarded and have our lifetime subscriptions cross over instead of lining your pockets again
If I must purchase my T6 ships (or at least one per faction) again I will simply stay on PC
I guess your on the PC then
As I have pondered for a minute or so I realized that we cannot get our previous purchases from PC on our Xboxes (and PS4s) because we are logging on with our Xbox Live and PSN accounts, not our Cryptic/Arc/Steam ones.
Is there a way for us to log on via our PC accounts???

You can link your accounts, but nothing carries over.

Whaaaat?FTW?
Are you kidding me guys. any and all accomplishments done on PC doesn't get carried over?
That's a very poor move on Cryptic's part; it as if the so-called beancounters were running the place.
Good thing I had had no plans to carry over to my new Xbox......
Still I think I'm going to submit a ticket about this $%^!
I'm not so much annoyed that my progress in STO PC version isn't there (fair enough, though, ESO they did a complete copy over from PC to Console so you lost *nothing*), what irritates the TRIBBLE out of me is all of the store purchases (ships, races, etc...) that are gone and you have to re-buy.
It's 1 part lazy code work (a DB migration) and 1 part money grab. Very poor form.
That said, it does look *amazing* on my home theater (except my teenie tiny starter ship in the map mode).
So since I linked my account to neverwinter on Xbox now I cant link my account to Star Trek. Great testing maybe next time do some real life testing, I'm also now finding out my lifetime subscription for PC is no good for Xbox and the ships don't transfer over wow way to kill the Xbox gaming. Give me my T6 ships!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or at least award a T6 to those that have life time subscription.

for anyone that has played..is that tutorial new to just the console or new to the PC version too?
I got through I think 20 min on PS4, the tutorial for Starfleet is the current PC tutorial, with only the dialogue window formats being different. Frankly, not having access to my PC characters or purchases is a definite deal-breaker.
This launch is not for us, people. The intention is to open up STO to console players, not to have migration from PC. I'm sure Cryptic/PWE will be more than happy for you to buy stuff you already own on PC all over again, but people who already play STO on PC are not the target market for this launch.
The Devs would probably appreciate some veteran players jumping on console for the first few weeks to help new players learn the ropes and build a community, but you're much better off staying with your existing account and all you've already earned. I guess if your TV is a lot bigger than your monitor and/or your PC is old and crappy you might be tempted to play on console, but if you own a lifetime sub and some of the larger expansion packs you might be better off building a new rig.
I'm just excited that the console launch means I should be getting shiny new graphics. Hopefully with Thursday's patch.

I agree. I have invested a large amount of money,
Life time subscription, 299
The Delta Quadrant bundle. 130
The Legacy of Romulus 120
The T6 Command battle cruiser mega bundle 120
Pilot escort megabundle, 120
Flag ship mega bundle 120
Agents of Yesterday Pack 130
odyssey Bundle, 50
Scimitar bundle 50
Bortasqu bundle 40 (bought this one on sale.
pathfinder with interiror bundle 30
T6 cross faction battle cruiser 60
T6 cross faction cruiser 60
The Vestas 50
the andorian escorts 50
Various ships like the tier 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and a number of tier six ships. The price is so high I can't calculate it accurately
Not to mention the money I invested in Character slots, Account bank slots, Master keys, and Promo packs. Hell right now I am sitting on 12,300 Zen waiting until the 8th to see if there is a special sale.
Over six years I spent over 1550 dollars in Star trek online. In fact with the non tangible thinks like master keys, promo packs, dry dock slots, character slots, bank slot on my main. Races. I am sure I have invested well over $2000 dollars easily. Console version. I bet NOTHING for my dedication and support.
I would only play the console versions if my PC went down and I would only ever EVER consider Zen in the game to get the T5 oddy bundle. maybe some upgrade tokens. Console is a good alternative if you can't use a PC, but after all my investments on star trek online PC version. Can't even PORT a high level character over there (even if it is a permanent transfer.) I won't play it unless my PC goes down.

I Agree the console is intended for New players. But We veteran plays should have some incentive to join up even if only casual. Character slots we have bought, Races we have unlocked. Account bank slots. Energy cap increased, etc.
If nothing caries over either direction what was the point in asking us to link our PSN/Live and ARC accounts?
As a LTS with all Expansions and MANY Z-Store ships and items it seems these versions may just be a waste of time and the company's resources if there is no plans to and a character copy/transfer option.
The tool used for Tribble copying proves that the data is moveable especially if the console versions are running on PW servers.
Is there any plans to at least add the T1 Andorian ship or the steam bundle to the PC Z-Store now? I could not justify buying the old Never-winter bundle just for that ship and i noticed awhile back steam removed the bundle they had.
Administrator,
After waiting eagerly for this title to Arrive on our beloved Xbox, it seems it is not available in the UK! Is it only available in the US atm? Will it be arriving here in the UK and Ireland soon?
I don't have either console so won't be switching and wouldn't even if I did as thousands of £££ spent on this PC account. But I do have a question.
Did they launch the game on console with the animation bugs they introduced into the game with AOY ?. Or do they appear to be fixed on that platform which would lead me to ask when will they be fixed on PC ?
I'm sorry but I have a Vengeance class dreadnought with all gold equipment on the PC. I expected my ship and my characters to show up on the console, not a clone, actually connecting to Holodeck. This completely different server and starting over from scratch is a massive fail.
Starting to get lag in game, so just one question.... You didn't put the console version's of the game on the same hardware/network as the PC version, did you?!?!
So i am not the only one who experienced lag and sluggish controls. I mirror the sentiment that i hope you did not put the console version on the same hardware /network.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Is this supposed to be launching simultaneously on PS4 and XB1. I only ask because it's showing up on PSN but not showing up on XB marketplace at all.
But to add something more relevant the this page, I've been looking forward to this launch simply because a lot of my friends have been wanting to play STO for a while but they do all their gaming on console. They don't have the money or interest to invest in a PC to play STO. Now I get to share my love of this game with them.
However not having access to the ships and items I have bought already is a bit of a TRIBBLE punch. I'm not one of these players who bought a lifetime membership. I payed for and played this game before it went free to play but I still kept paying the monthly subscription because I enjoy STO that much. I earned my veteran status the hard way. PC players like us are great ambassadors for this game. Instead of telling my friends how awesome my T6 tactical escort is I could have shown them. They could see the benefits of having to buy the 3 ships needed to get all the gear to enable battle cloak on that ship.
I fully understand keeping the servers separate. I was planning to start a new character anyway when the console version launched. But giving us the ability to link to our ARC accounts but not allow access to our purchases....I just don't see the logic of turning away players who could draw in more new players. Hell at this point if all I had access to was my veteran status I'd be happy.
I've read this thread and all the stuff on reddit etc. about "taking away" LTS and so on.
The console servers are a fresh start for a lot of new players with a different payment model, a different game version.
For example:
1. There is no subscription and no veteran, no EC-cap. How should the veteran status carry over. There is only the LTS-pack with most of the stuff from PC except the 500 zen per month. And you have your LTS-Pack on PC like before. No one is taking anything from you.
2. You have stuff on PC that isn't even released yet on console. You used systems like DOFF that aren'T even released on console. HOW should your PC-Stuff carry over.
3. You have spend several 100 dollars on the different packs on PC. No one is taking that away. If you have fun playing the game... play it. It is still there.
The console launch is a different experience mostly for new players or veterans who want a fresh start. That experience wouldn't work with all the vet-accounts and the markets wouldn't work. It was a design choice to do the differences by cryptic. The console version is an offer. If you like it play it. If not, don't and have as much on PC as before. There is no change on PC.
I really don't understand all the whining about this new option to play.
If I must purchase my T6 ships (or at least one per faction) again I will simply stay on PC
I guess your on the PC then

Nope! I don't expect to copy characters like we can to Tribble and RedShirt and to continue on from where we left off on the PC version. However, I don't think it is unfair to expect my C-Store purchases and lifetime subscription to carry over. Starting new characters is one thing I don't mind doing but I would like to have the choice to collect my stipend on either the console or PC and to be able to use my saved character and uniform files as well as ship designs.
I am a big fan of Microsoft's Play Anywhere system. What that means is, if I buy a game digitally on XBOX One or Windows 10, then I can play it on the other for free, all DLC and everything transfers too. I bought a lifetime sub to STO back before the game was officially released. The console version is essentially the same game, just a month behind. I am not going to stop playing on the PC but I would like to try playing it on the XBOX ONe. With no interaction between the two versions of the same game, that not only limits fleet expansions and the whole principle of what an MMO is, but it kicks long time supporters of this game in the groin. Some players may be okay with paying twice for the same thing but I am definitely one of the ones that are not!
I played tis game on the Mac and that went away and now I'm on the console. Yeah it sucks i don't have access to my stuff but at least I can play the game. It takes a minute to get the hang of the controller. I'm so used to flying by keyboard.

Also, I keep trying to jump by pressing the A button, but 9 times of 10, nothing happens.

I've only ever played NW on PC, not on console.
How does one link accounts with PC?
How much are we going to be dinged for if we wanted to catch up with our PC selves?
I got through I think 20 min on PS4, the tutorial for Starfleet is the current PC tutorial, with only the dialogue window formats being different. Frankly, not having access to my PC characters or purchases is a definite deal-breaker.
