I plan to buy packs and sell them on the exchange, then buy the new connie
I have a grand (1000 zen) accumulated from arc quests so i am keeping the option open to purchase a 4 pack.
Not into the whole T6 connie though. The war bird is interesting, but i have the T5U already so the stats need to be exceptionally better to risk that gamble.
There is also the option that i keep the arc quest reward and purchase a 6k discount pack later. Either from flagships, pilot ships or T6 escorts (defiant & Malem pack)
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Secondly (and I know this might be taken as heresy) I have never liked the original Constitution class. I am way more into the Sovereign or Prometheus type ships. The only ship that I might be a little sad I won't have is the D7.
I kinda have to agree. Saying one group of fans is more "true" than others is total BS. We are ALL Trek fans. Doesn't matter which series we grew up with, which crews we like more than others...
Trek is Trek.
The only True Fan is one who accepts ALL Trek. Not just one incarnation over another.
I might buy a few of them. Not hundreds of dollars' worth, but maybe like $20 to $30 worth.
And yes, I agree, rattler2. I might like certain Trek series and movies more than others, but as far as I'm concerned, Trek is Trek and I'm not going to knock anyone else's choices of what their preferred iteration of it is.
Same here Cryptic has given the big FU to true fans doing it this way.
So let me get this straight. After FINALLY giving you a ship that you've all wanted for so damn long (trust me, I've seen many of those threads), even after saying it was impossible, and FINALLY getting permission to do it, and FINALLY actually putting it into the game... you're going to bash them because they're making it so that you need to work to get it? Or if not work, spend a little in game dough for it? Seriously???
Wow man. You're a true fan indeed. A true fan of instant gratification gimme gimme.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
The Constitution Class is TOO OLD to be at Tier 6. And TOO SMALL! This makes no logical sense in the game, especially in the context of how the ship tier system works. How in the heck can a Constitution class vessel, that was retired aeons ago, still be flown, let alone out perform an Odyssey, as well as go toe to toe with a Borg Tactical Cube. This is a museum piece! I can't understand how Cryptic would EVER tie their own game mechanics and lore into knots like that.

They're not "giving" anything if you have to earn it. Stop deluding yourself. It's embarrassing. That's like if your parents get you this awesome Christmas present and they tell you all you gotta do is eat a plate of dog TRIBBLE to get it. Gee, thanks for "giving" me something. And a "little ingame dough"? These things will go for astronomical EC, or you could spend hundreds of real dollars on a very tiny chance to get one. But no, keep missing the point, or whatever Cryptic Stockholm syndrome you've got going.
I'll buy zero of these things. Don't need a digital ship that bad

Supply and Demand on the EC end. ALL of the Promo ships have done that. No real surprise there. The Annorax went for that much and it was quite a desirable sci dreadnought.
The real world money? Goes to fund the game so that we can keep playing.
I need some lobi to push me over the 200 for a console for one of my characters, so I'll pick up one four-pack. since I almost certainly won't be lucky in that few tries, I'll hope to buy a t'liss on the auction house.
I will try a few boxes, perhaps a dozen. If nothing from that, then I'm after the Geneva. I don't like doing the lottery. But you know the saying. You can't win, if you don't play.

None. Not interested.
This. I have more than enough ships. For those that want them, fine. But that isn't me. I'd rather have one consistent with progress into the future, not back to the future.
If, however, you feel you "must" gamble or "must" have one of these, I suggest you seek real life help.

I'm sorry, what part of limited time exclusive gambling prize is not clear to you?
The vast majority of all the people who wanted it will NEVER have one.
So yes, bashing totally warranted.

That's not enough Packs to get this Ultra Rare ship.

I don't play the gamble-box lottery.
Alternatively, I don't intend on spending TRIBBLE-tons of EC for a single-character single-purchase. So I won't be getting one of these ships.
Shame, I would have liked to fly a T6 connie.

For one I also don't play gamble-box lottery.

I might buy some if I want/need some lobi though.

I will use dil to get 2 boxes and my ec to buy 2 or so boxes off the exchange. 2 for my Fed and 2 for my KDF. Nothing more, nothing less.
None...who wants this FUGLY looking ship. If you are looking for something awfully ugly...good luck with it. I will spend "0" on this.
And the Vesper isn't ugly? And the Vesper was one of the advertised perk points of the T6 TOS Connie.

If I want any of the ships, I'll just buy them off the exchange for EC. I'd rather get them for free than spend Zen on them.
